Preview Roundups
October 04, 2015
St. Louis at Atlanta 1:00 PM ET

The St. Louis Cardinals wrap up the regular season Sunday with a doubleheader at the Atlanta Braves, but while the Cardinals’ season will continue into next week's National League Division Series, who will make up the postseason roster remains up in the air. Outfielder Randal Grichuk is nursing a sore right arm and the Cardinals might not be able to play

NY Yankees at Baltimore 3:05 PM ET
The New York Yankees had two chances on Saturday to clinch home-field advantage in the American League wild-card game but failed both times. The Yankees will take their final shot when they try to avoid a three-game sweep ending the regular season at the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday.
LA Angels at Texas 3:05 PM ET
The Texas Rangers already have had two chances to clinch the American League West, only to fall victim both times to the ninth-inning magic of the Los Angeles Angels. The Rangers remain in search of their first division title since 2011 and the Angels will attempt to do their part to force a one-game playoff for the final wild-card spot when they wrap up a four-game set in the regular-season finale in Texas on Sunday.
Cincinnati at Pittsburgh 3:05 PM ET
Despite recording 97 wins - their most since 1991 - the Pittsburgh Pirates enter the final day of the regular season with work to do. The Pirates will try to clinch home-field advantage for the upcoming National League wild-card game when they finish the season at home against the Cincinnati Reds.
Colorado at San Francisco 3:05 PM ET
Neither the Colorado Rockies nor the San Francisco Giants are entirely pleased with the way their 2015 campaigns have gone. The two National League West foes will try to end their seasons on a positive note when they wrap up the regular season Sunday afternoon in San Francisco.
Miami at Philadelphia 3:05 PM ET
The Miami Marlins look to end a disappointing year on a high note with a three-game sweep when they visit the Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday in the regular-season finale. Miami left fielder Christian Yelich looks to stay hot after going 8-for-9 during a doubleheader sweep Saturday that raised his batting average to .302
Boston at Cleveland 3:10 PM ET
The Boston Red Sox are having some trouble scoring runs as they finish out the regular season and the Cleveland Indians are taking advantage. The Red Sox will try to snap a three-game slide and keep the Indians from finishing the season above .500 when they meet for the finale in Cleveland on Sunday.
Detroit at Chi. White Sox 3:10 PM ET
The Detroit Tigers have dropped four in a row to ensure themselves a last place finish but will try to close out the season with a win when they visit the Chicago White Sox on Sunday. Chicago's victories in the first two games moved them 2 1/2 games up on the Tigers and out of the possibility of a basement finish in the American League Central.
Houston at Arizona 3:10 PM ET
The Houston Astros can clinch their first postseason berth since 2005 with a victory over the host Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday in the regular-season finale. Houston, which lost more than 100 games for three straight seasons (2011-13) and averaged 104 over the last four years, sits one game behind Texas in the American League West and one ahead of the Los Angeles Angels for the final wild-card spot.
Kansas City at Minnesota 3:10 PM ET
The Kansas City Royals have home-field advantage throughout the American League playoffs on the line when they visit the division-rival Minnesota Twins for the regular-season finale on Sunday. The AL Central-champion Royals posted a 5-1 victory over Minnesota on Saturday to officially eliminate the Twins from the wild-card race and move one game ahead of Toronto for first overall in the junior circuit.
Oakland at Seattle 3:10 PM ET
The Oakland Athletics put the finishing touches on their worst season in 18 years when they visit the Seattle Mariners on Sunday. The Athletics (68-93) will wind up with the worst record in the American League for the third time in Oakland history, while Seattle (75-86) caps its fifth losing season in the last six years after winning 85 games in 2014.
Toronto at Tampa Bay 3:10 PM ET
The Toronto Blue Jays need a victory in their regular-season finale and some help to earn home-field advantage throughout the American League playoffs. The Blue Jays go into Sunday’s contest against the host Tampa Bay Rays one game behind the Kansas City Royals (94-67) and own the tiebreaker in the race for the best record and home field in the AL postseason.
Chi. Cubs at Milwaukee 3:10 PM ET

The Chicago Cubs look to win their eighth straight game – and perhaps secure home-field advantage for the National League wild-card game – when they wrap up the regular season Sunday at the Milwaukee Brewers. The Cubs, who will face Pittsburgh in the NL wild-card game Wednesday, will earn home-field advantage with a win and a Pirates loss against Cincinnati on Sunday.

San Diego at LA Dodgers 3:10 PM ET
Securing home-field advantage in the National League Division Series appeared to be a longshot for the Los Angeles Dodgers six days ago, but there is very little drama left as the regular season draws to a close. The Dodgers, who discovered on Saturday they would host the first two games of the NLDS, look to continue building momentum one day later as they attempt to complete a three-game home sweep of the San Diego Padres.
Washington at NY Mets 3:10 PM ET
The New York Mets look to avoid limping into the postseason when they host the division-rival Washington Nationals on Sunday in the regular-season finale for both clubs. The National League East-champion Mets are slumping at the wrong time, as they've followed a four-game sweep at Cincinnati with five consecutive losses - including a doubleheader against Washington on Saturday that featured Nationals right-hander Max Scherzer's second no-hitter of the season in the nightcap.
St. Louis at Atlanta 4:30 PM ET

The St. Louis Cardinals wrap up the regular season Sunday with a doubleheader at the Atlanta Braves, but while the Cardinals’ season will continue into next week's National League Division Series, who will make up the postseason roster remains up in the air. Outfielder Randal Grichuk is nursing a sore right arm and the Cardinals might not be able to play him in center field when they open the postseason.
