Baltimore at NY Yankees 7:05 PM ET
Alex Rodriguez has gone deep in back-to-back games and can reach 30 homers in a season for the 15th time in his career when the New York Yankees resume their three-game series against the visiting Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday night. The Yankees have won eight of 10 and are within a half-game of the first-place Toronto Blue Jays in the American League East.
Atlanta at Philadelphia 7:05 PM ET
Having finally put an end to a 12-game losing streak, the Atlanta Braves look to record back-to-back victories for the first time in a month when they continue their three-game series against the host Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday. The Braves also snapped a 13-game skid on the road and won for only the second time in 21 games.
NY Mets at Washington 7:05 PM ET
Matt Harvey caused a stir when he put pen to paper to announce in The Players' Tribune that he intends to pitch in the postseason, despite having doctors recommend that he be shut down after 180 innings. The 26-year-old resides just 13 2/3 shy of that total in his first season since Tommy John surgery as the New York Mets play the second contest of their three-game series versus the host Washington Nationals on Tuesday.
Tampa Bay at Detroit 7:08 PM ET
The Detroit Tigers are looking for small signs of improvement, and back-to-back wins for the first time in three weeks would count as a step forward. The Tigers will try to accomplish that when they host the Tampa Bay Rays in the second of a three-game series on Tuesday.
Toronto at Boston 7:10 PM ET
Boston Red Sox fans can be excused for feeling a bit conflicted about the current series against the Toronto Blue Jays, who are battling the hated New York Yankees for first place in the American League East. But a win is always better than a loss, and the Red Sox will try to clinch a series victory when they host the Blue Jays in the second of a three-game series on Tuesday.
Pittsburgh at Cincinnati 7:10 PM ET
The Pittsburgh Pirates were riding high after a series win over the first-place St. Louis Cardinals and can’t afford to drop a series against one of the worst teams in the majors. The Pirates will try to bounce back and even the series at one win apiece when they visit the Cincinnati Reds for the second of a three-game series on Tuesday.
Milwaukee at Miami 7:10 PM ET
Ryan Braun and the Milwaukee Brewers are heating up as the season heads down the stretch, while the Miami Marlins saw their hot streak interrupted by a series-opening setback. Braun has recorded three straight multi-hit performances for the Brewers, who will vie for their eighth win in nine outings when they face the host Marlins in the middle contest of their three-game set on Tuesday.
Cleveland at Chi. White Sox 8:10 PM ET
Ryan Raburn looks to continue to torment the Chicago White Sox when the visiting Cleveland Indians attempt to secure a series victory over their American League Central rival on Tuesday. The 34-year-old utility player went deep twice in Monday afternoon's 3-2 series-opening victory and has four of his eight multi-homer performances against the White Sox.
Minnesota at Kansas City 8:10 PM ET
The Kansas City Royals are sliding at a time when the Minnesota Twins need all the victories they can find. Minnesota continues its playoff push against the host Royals on Tuesday, one night after producing a 6-2 victory that represented Kansas City's fourth straight loss - matching its worst skid of the season.
Chi. Cubs at St. Louis 8:15 PM ET
The Chicago Cubs are scoring runs in bunches once again but their hot bats will be tested Tuesday when they continue a three-game series at first-place St. Louis. Cardinals right-hander Michael Wacha returns from a brief layoff to take on the streaking Cubs, who stretched their winning streak to four games with a 9-0 rout in the opener Monday.
San Francisco at Arizona 9:40 PM ET
The floundering San Francisco Giants attempt to remain afloat in the playoff race when they visit the National League West-rival Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday for the middle contest of their three-game series. San Francisco suffered a 6-1 loss in Monday's opener to fall nine games behind the Chicago Cubs for the second wild-card spot and 8 1/2 in back of the division-leading Los Angeles Dodgers.
Houston at Oakland 10:05 PM ET
The Houston Astros look to avoid having their division lead dwindle any further as they visit the American League West-rival Oakland Athletics on Tuesday for the middle contest of their three-game series. Houston dropped a 10-9 decision in the opener of its 10-game road trip to watch its division lead over second-place Texas shrink to two games.
LA Dodgers at LA Angels 10:05 PM ET
Corey Seager was playing for Triple-A Oklahoma City a week ago, but he’s quickly become a key part of the Los Angeles Dodgers’ playoff push. The 21-year-old rookie will likely be in the starting lineup again Tuesday as the visiting Dodgers continue their three-game series against the Los Angeles Angels, who sit 5 1/2 games back of American League West-leading Houston and 3 1/2 behind Texas for the second wild-card spot.
Texas at Seattle 10:10 PM ET
The Texas Rangers are closing the gap on first-place Houston in the American League West and aim to make up more ground when they visit the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday. Texas recorded a 3-0 victory in the series opener to move within two games of the Astros while remaining 1 1/2  ahead of Minnesota for the second wild-card spot.
Colorado at San Diego 10:10 PM ET
The Colorado Rockies finally have won a game at Petco Park and look to notch another when they visit the San Diego Padres on Tuesday for the second contest of their four-game set. Colorado lost the first five meetings in San Diego this season before producing a 6-4 victory in Monday's series opener.
