Toronto at NY Yankees 7:05 PM ET
The New York Yankees spent the final two days of Labor Day weekend doing exactly what they needed to do to stay in the American League postseason race and now have a chance to do some damage down the stretch. The Yankees will try to clinch a series win and gain more ground in the standings when they host the Toronto Blue Jays in the second of a three-game set on Tuesday.
Atlanta at Washington 7:05 PM ET
Trea Turner is one of the most impressive rookies in baseball, and clearly seeing the Atlanta Braves brings out an even better side of the Washington Nationals’ second baseman. Turner enters the second game of a three-game set Tuesday at Washington hitting .432 in eight games against the Braves, after going 3-for-4 with a double, homer and three RBIs in Monday’s series-opening 6-4 triumph.
St. Louis at Pittsburgh 7:05 PM ET
The Pittsburgh Pirates are playing their way out of contention for a National League wild card and have dropped under .500 during a seven-game slide. The Pirates will try to end the skid and gain back a game in the wild card chase when they host the St. Louis Cardinals in the second of a three-game series on Tuesday.
Baltimore at Tampa Bay 7:10 PM ET
Slugger Chris Davis looks to continue a productive campaign against the Tampa Bay Rays when his Baltimore Orioles pay a visit for the second of a three-game set on Tuesday night. Davis belted his fourth homer of 2016 against the Rays in Monday’s 7-3 triumph and boasts 12 RBIs in the season series as the Orioles improved to 10-3 against Tampa Bay.
Houston at Cleveland 7:10 PM ET
The Houston Astros did not fare as well as they would have liked in the first of four straight series against division leaders, but got off to a good start in their second set. Houston continues its quest for a wild card in the American League on Tuesday as it visits the AL Central-leading Cleveland Indians for the second contest of their four-game matchup.
NY Mets at Cincinnati 7:10 PM ET
The surging New York Mets aim for their first four-game winning streak in more than two months when they continue a three-game series at the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday. A host of injuries to starting pitchers has not slowed down the Mets' staff, which held opponents to a total of two runs over the course of the club's three straight wins.
Philadelphia at Miami 7:10 PM ET
The Miami Marlins are sliding rapidly in the standings and can’t find enough offense to put together another push for a National League wild card slot. The Marlins will try to avoid a fifth consecutive setback when they host the Philadelphia Phillies in the second of a three-game series on Tuesday.
Detroit at Chi. White Sox 8:10 PM ET
Miguel Cabrera became just the fourth player to hit 300 home runs in the storied history of the Detroit Tigers, and he looks to continue his hot streak Tuesday in the middle contest of a three-game set against the host Chicago White Sox. Cabrera went 4-for-5 with two homers in Monday's 5-3, 11-inning victory in the series opener and is 10-for-23 with three blasts during his five-game hitting streak.
Kansas City at Minnesota 8:10 PM ET
Even with Brian Dozier taking his red-hot bat to another level, the Kansas City Royals still have the upper hand against the Minnesota Twins. The visiting Royals try to maintain their dominance of Dozier's last-place Twins when the teams continue a three-game series Tuesday.
Chi. Cubs at Milwaukee 8:10 PM ET

Facing 14-game winner Jason Hammel is what passes for catching a break when taking on the Chicago Cubs these days, but the Milwaukee Brewers might not see it that way. Hammel looks to improve upon his 10-1 record and 2.50 ERA in 14 starts against the Brewers when the National League Central rivals square off for the second of a three-game series Tuesday.

San Francisco at Colorado 8:40 PM ET
The struggling San Francisco Giants visit the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday in the middle contest of a three-game series and must soon snap out a funk that has lasted since the All-Star break. San Francisco had the best record in baseball (57-33) and led the Los Angeles Dodgers by 6 1/2 games in the National League West at the break, but is a major league-worst 16-31 since and trails Los Angeles by four games while seeing its wild-card cushion reduced to 1 1/2 over the New York Mets.
LA Angels at Oakland 10:05 PM ET
Albert Pujols has enjoyed a strong second half and looks to extend his hitting streak to 12 games when the Los Angeles Angels visit the Oakland Athletics for the middle contest of their three-game series. Pujols is 21-for-47 with six homers and 14 RBIs during his streak after delivering a two-run double in Monday's 10-7 victory.
Boston at San Diego 10:10 PM ET
Boston Red Sox third baseman Yoan Moncada has already shown flashes of his massive potential in his short stay in the majors, but the 21-year-old rookie is far from a finished product. Moncada resumes the learning process on Tuesday as the Red Sox continue their three-game series against the host San Diego Padres, who captured Monday's opener by a 2-1 margin.
Texas at Seattle 10:10 PM ET
The Seattle Mariners suffered a devastating three-game road sweep against Texas last week and already have made sure a repeat won't occur during a four-game home set against the Rangers. Seattle attempts to defeat Texas for the second straight day on Tuesday after rolling to a 14-6 victory in the series opener.
Arizona at LA Dodgers 10:10 PM ET
The Los Angeles Dodgers could not have treated former teammate Zack Greinke more rudely in his return to Chavez Ravine and hope to continue their uncivil behavior when they host the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday for the middle contest of their three-game series. The Dodgers pounded Greinke - who recorded 51 victories for the club over the previous three seasons, including a career-high 19 in 2015 - for eight runs on nine hits (five homers) in a series-opening 10-2 triumph to increase their lea
