The NL East might be out of reach, but the Mets are advancing toward a playoff berth again and will go for a four-game sweep of the visiting Miami Marlins on Thursday.

Chi. White Sox at Minnesota 8:10 PM ET
The Minnesota Twins will be trying to avoid matching the worst losing
streak in team history when they host the Chicago White Sox on Thursday
in the opener of a four-game series. Minnesota's dismal skid reached 13
straight games -- the worst in the majors this season -- when it dropped
an 8-4 decision to the Cleveland Indians on Wednesday.
