Tampa Bay at Baltimore 7:05 PM ET
The Tampa Bay Rays hope to remain in the thick of the postseason race at the expense of the skidding Baltimore Orioles when the American League East rivals continue their three-game series at Camden Yards. Tampa Bay has rebounded after losing five of six to win two in a row and move 3 1/2 games behind Texas while bumbling Baltimore has dropped five in a row and 11 of 12 to fall 5 1/2 games back of the Rangers.
Cleveland at Toronto 7:07 PM ET
The Cleveland Indians look to continue their blistering stretch at the expense of one of the hottest teams in baseball when they play the second contest of a three-game series versus the host Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday. NY Yankees at Boston 7:10 PM ET
Reduced to playing spoiler for the remainder of the season, the Boston Red Sox are in the midst of one of their best stretches of the season with their most bitter rival in town. The Red Sox closed out August by winning nine of their last 13 games and look to make it two straight victories over the visiting New York Yankees when the three-game series resumes Tuesday night.
Miami at Atlanta 7:10 PM ET
The dawning of September brings with it expanded major league rosters for the final weeks of the season, giving the Atlanta Braves an opportunity to look at the centerpiece of their major trade-deadline deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Hector Olivera, the 30-year-old who the Braves hope will provide sorely needed right-handed offense, is expected to be in the lineup Tuesday at third base when the Braves host the Miami Marlins.
Philadelphia at NY Mets 7:10 PM ET
The New York Mets look to continue their utter domination of the Philadelphia Phillies when the National League East rivals play the second contest of their three-game series at Citi Field on Tuesday. The Chicago Cubs’ six-game homestand got off to a rocky start, but they’ll try to turn things around when they host the Cincinnati Reds for the middle contest of a three-game series Tuesday. Chi. White Sox at Minnesota 8:10 PM ET
The Minnesota Twins are showing no signs of falling out of the American League wild card race as they prepare to host the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday in the opener of a three-game series. Seattle at Houston 8:10 PM ET
Phenom Carlos Correa homered in his return from a four-game absence and attempts to help the Houston Astros continue their home dominance of Seattle when they host the Mariners on Tuesday. Pittsburgh at Milwaukee 8:10 PM ET
The first order of business the Pittsburgh Pirates face as they hit the homestretch of the 2015 regular season is to improve their record against National League Central foes and they'll get right to work when they visit the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday to begin a three-game series. Pittsburgh trails first-place St. Louis by five games, but appears a cinch to earn one of the NL wild card spots despite going 21-29 in the division, including 6-6 versus Milwaukee.
Washington at St. Louis 8:15 PM ET
The Washington Nationals have stumbled through a disappointing second half of the season marked by a string of tough losses, but Monday's defeat against the St. Louis Cardinals may have been the most crushing blow of all.
