LA Angels at Detroit 7:08 PM ET
The Los Angeles Angels and Detroit Tigers look to halt to their respective four-game losing skids when the struggling clubs open a three-game series at Comerica Park on Tuesday. The Minnesota Twins and the Tampa Bay Rays are both still a part of the American League wild-card race, and neither can afford to lose a series. Two of those players take turns on the mound as the Rockies’ Chad Bettis returns from the disabled list to face Braves rookie Mike Foltynewicz.

Oakland at Seattle 10:10 PM ET
Seven-run rallies are beginning to become the norm for the Oakland Athletics, who attempt to clinch a series win when they visit the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday for the middle contest of their three-game set. Oakland scored seven runs in the seventh inning against Tampa Bay en route to an 8-2 triumph Sunday and put up another seven-spot in fifth in the opener versus Seattle to erase a 5-0 deficit and cruise to an 11-5 victory.
Chi. Cubs at San Francisco 10:15 PM ET
A day off came at an opportune time for the San Francisco Giants, who return home from a 2-5 road trip to begin a three-game series against the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday. Having had the previous day to rest could prove beneficial as the Giants attempt to slow down the red-hot Cubs, who improved to 20-4 over their last 24 games when Kris Bryant belted a walk-off homer in Monday’s 2-1 win over Cleveland.
