August 11, 2015
Oakland at Toronto 7:07 PM ET
Fresh off their first three-game sweep of the American East-leading New York Yankees in 12 years, the surging Toronto Blue Jays go for their ninth consecutive victory when they host the Oakland Athletics on Tuesday in the opener of a three-game series. Toronto's offense usually receives the headlines, but its pitching staff allowed one run versus New York and capped the series with back-to-back shutouts.
Boston at Miami 7:10 PM ET
The Miami Marlins host the Boston Red Sox in a two-game interleague series beginning Tuesday involving a pair of last-place teams. Boston swept Miami in a two-game set at Fenway Park on July 7 and 8 to move within five games of first-place New York in the American League East, but followed by dropping two of three to the Yankees prior to the All-Star Game and lost seven straight coming out of the break to fall out of contention.
NY Yankees at Cleveland 7:10 PM ET
Luis Severino seeks his first victory when he takes the mound for the visiting New York Yankees on Tuesday night in the opener of a three-game series at the Cleveland Indians. The rookie right-hander may feel heightened pressure in his second career start after the Yankees were swept at home by Toronto over the weekend to cut their lead in the American League East to 1 1/2 games.
Atlanta at Tampa Bay 7:10 PM ET
The Tampa Bay Rays have taken a more aggressive approach at the plate the past two weeks and the results have spurred optimism they can stay in the playoff hunt to the end. The Rays are averaging 5.4 runs over the last dozen contests and look to stay hot when they host the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday to begin a two-game interleague series.
Colorado at NY Mets 7:10 PM ET
Carlos Gonzalez appears to have every pitcher's number the last two months, but he's yet to solve Matt Harvey in his career. Gonzalez looks to continue his scintillating run and end his team's struggles at Citi Field when the Colorado Rockies play the second contest of their four-game series against the New York Mets on Tuesday.
Milwaukee at Chi. Cubs 8:05 PM ET

Facing the Milwaukee Brewers helped jumpstart the Chicago Cubs’ current hot streak, and they hope it can continue when they begin a three-game home set against the same National League Central rivals on Tuesday. The Cubs swept four games in Milwaukee early in a stretch in which they have won 10 of their last 11 games to take a 3 1/2-game lead over San Francisco for the second NL wild card.

LA Angels at Chi. White Sox 8:10 PM ET
The Los Angeles Angels didn't put up much of a fight with a share of first place in the American League West on the line. The Angels attempt to put forth a better showing on Tuesday, when they continue their three-game series against the host Chicago White Sox.
Detroit at Kansas City 8:10 PM ET
The Kansas City Royals look to remain perfect on their homestand when they host the American League Central-rival Detroit Tigers in the middle contest of their three-game series on Tuesday. After sweeping a three-game set from the Chicago White Sox to kick off their 10-game stretch at home, the Royals began their attempt at avenging last week's series loss at Detroit by posting a 4-0 victory on Monday.
Texas at Minnesota 8:10 PM ET
The Texas Rangers and Minnesota Twins are one-half game apart in the American League wild card standings, but appear headed in opposite directions as they convene for a three-game series beginning Tuesday at Target Field in Minneapolis. Texas (55-55) moved into postseason contention by going 13-9 since the All-Star break to get within 3 1/2 games of the Los Angeles Angels for the final wild card spot while Minnesota (55-56) is 6-16 during that span.
Pittsburgh at St. Louis 8:15 PM ET
The Pittsburgh Pirates experienced their fair share of heartbreak in the first four games against the St. Louis Cardinals this season, but spent most of the rest of the first half getting payback. The teams with the two best records in the National League will resume their rivalry on Tuesday when the visiting Pirates try to trim a five-game gap in the Central against first-place Cardinals in the opener of a three-game set.
Philadelphia at Arizona 9:40 PM ET
Arizona's David Peralta is 8-for-10 over his last two games and hopes to remain hot when the Diamondbacks host the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday. Peralta was 3-for-5 with two RBIs as Arizona rolled to a 13-3 victory in Monday's series opener to hand the Phillies a rare loss.
Baltimore at Seattle 10:10 PM ET
Chris Tillman returns from a left ankle injury and gets to pitch against a team he routinely dominates when the Baltimore Orioles visit the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday. Tillman, who is 6-0 against Seattle, is pitching for the first time since July 29 after missing one start due to his ailment.
Cincinnati at San Diego 10:10 PM ET
The San Diego Padres attempt to clinch a series win when they host the Cincinnati Reds for the middle contest of their three-game set Tuesday. San Diego halted its six-game losing streak in Monday's opener, posting a 2-1 triumph behind a two-run homer in the fourth inning by Justin Upton.
Washington at LA Dodgers 10:10 PM ET
Zack Greinke has won his last six decisions and strives to continue his strong season when the Los Angeles Dodgers host the Washington Nationals on Tuesday. Greinke hasn't lost since June 13 and has allowed two or fewer runs in 18 of his 22 starts.
Houston at San Francisco 10:15 PM ET
Two teams that need to turn their fortunes around in a hurry meet Tuesday when the Houston Astros visit the San Francisco Giants to open a two-game interleague set. The Astros have dropped six of their last seven while San Francisco is 2 1/2 games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League West and 3 1/2 out in the National League wild card race after suffering a four-game sweep at the hands of the host Chicago Cubs.
