Milwaukee at Washington 11:05 AM ET
Washington Nationals ace Max Scherzer gets a chance to avenge his only loss in his last six starts when he takes the mound Monday morning in the opener of a three-game series against the visiting Milwaukee Brewers. The Nationals have won seven of their last eight and hold a five-game lead atop the National League East.
LA Angels at Tampa Bay 1:10 PM ET
Two of the most disappointing teams in the American League meet when the Tampa Bay Rays host the Los Angeles Angels on Monday in the opener of a four-game set. The Rays have dropped 16 of their last 18 contests after getting swept in four by Detroit at home over the weekend and Los Angeles is just 2-11 in its past 13 games following Sunday’s 10-5 loss at Boston.
Texas at Boston 1:35 PM ET
The Boston Red Sox ended a streak of three straight series losses by taking two of three from the bottom team in the American League West. The Red Sox will try to get a leg up on a second consecutive series win when they take a step up in competition and host the AL West-leading Texas Rangers in the opener of a three-game series on Monday.
NY Yankees at Chi. White Sox 2:10 PM ET
Despite a horrific six-week swoon in which they won only 10 of 36 games, the Chicago White Sox are in the thick of a tight American League wild card chase entering a three-game series against the visiting New York Yankees on Monday night. The White Sox have won four straight series to move two games over .500 for the first time since June 4.
Seattle at Houston 2:10 PM ET
Seth Smith and the Seattle Mariners look to continue their unexpected power surge on Monday afternoon, when they visit the Lone Star State to open a three-game series versus the American League West-rival Houston Astros. Smith provided the fireworks with a grand slam to extend his home-run streak to a career-high four contests on Sunday, helping Seattle complete a four-game series sweep of Baltimore with a 9-4 victory.
Oakland at Minnesota 2:10 PM ET
The Oakland Athletics saw their pitchers taken to task as the club concluded its homestand on a sour note. The Athletics look to dust themselves off on Monday afternoon, when they attempt to snap a four-game skid in the opener of a three-game series versus the host Minnesota Twins.
Pittsburgh at St. Louis 2:15 PM ET

With the first-place Chicago Cubs slumping, the door is open for someone to slip back into the National League Central race, and the two top candidates to do so go head to head for four games starting Monday. The second-place St. Louis Cardinals host the surging Pittsburgh Pirates as both hope to make a charge at the Cubs when they square off this week.

Cincinnati at Chi. Cubs 2:20 PM ET

The past couple of weeks have been tough for the Chicago Cubs – with the exception of a three-day stopover in Cincinnati. The Cubs return home and hope a visit from the Reds for three games beginning Monday will help them get back on track after a rocky road trip.

Atlanta at Philadelphia 4:05 PM ET
The Atlanta Braves may be buried in last place in the National League East, but they've enjoyed some recent success against their division rivals. Atlanta looks to continue that trend when it visits the Philadelphia Phillies on Monday afternoon for the opener of their three-game series.
Colorado at San Francisco 4:05 PM ET
The San Francisco Giants are making mincemeat of the National League West of late and look to continue that trend when they open a three-game series against the visiting Colorado Rockies on Monday afternoon. The division-leading Giants improved to 18-4 in their last 22 encounters with their NL West rivals after taking two of three at Arizona this weekend.
Miami at NY Mets 4:10 PM ET
After beginning their 11-game homestand with an impressive showing against the team with the best record in baseball, the New York Mets look to avoid a letdown when they host the Miami Marlins on Monday afternoon for the opener of their three-game series. New York followed three straight losses to the National League East-leading Nationals in Washington by kicking off its string at home with a four-game sweep of the Chicago Cubs, which it completed with a 14-3 drubbing on Sunday.
Kansas City at Toronto 7:07 PM ET
The Toronto Blue Jays just pulled off one of the more impressive four-game splits of the season and are well-positioned to make a run up the standings in the American League East before the All-Star break. The Blue Jays attempt to secure their third straight win when they host the inconsistent Kansas City Royals in the opener of a three-game series on Monday.
Detroit at Cleveland 7:10 PM ET
The Cleveland Indians used strong pitching to guide the way to a franchise-record 14 straight wins but watched their hurlers melt down over the weekend. The Indians will try to put the staff back together and avoid a third straight setback when they host the red-hot Detroit Tigers in the opener of a three-game series on Monday.
Baltimore at LA Dodgers 9:10 PM ET
The Baltimore Orioles and Los Angeles Dodgers are headed in opposite directions as they begin a three-game interleague set at Chavez Revine on Monday. The Orioles have matched their longest losing streak of the season with four straight setbacks - all in Seattle and by a combined margin of 31-15.
San Diego at Arizona 9:10 PM ET
One of the primary reasons for the Arizona Diamondbacks' struggles this year has been an inability to succeed at home. They will try again to reverse that trend when the last-place San Diego Padres come to town Monday for the first of three straight contests.
