Preview Roundups
June 30, 2015
Texas at Baltimore 7:05 PM ET
The Texas Rangers finally found a way to generate some offense – by hitting the ball over the wall. The Rangers will try to keep the home runs coming and secure back-to-back wins for the first time in nearly two weeks when they visit the Baltimore Orioles for the second contest of their four-game series on Tuesday.
Milwaukee at Philadelphia 7:05 PM ET
The Milwaukee Brewers attempt to move closer to a third straight series victory when they visit the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday for the second contest of their four-game set. Milwaukee, which was coming off series win over the New York Mets and Minnesota, took the first step toward a third by rallying for a 7-4 triumph in Monday's opener.
Boston at Toronto 7:07 PM ET
Marco Estrada was not supposed to be the best pitcher on the Toronto Blue Jays' staff and wasn’t even in the rotation to begin the season. The right-hander will go for his fifth win in six starts when he takes the mound against the visiting Boston Red Sox in the second contest of their four-game series on Tuesday.
Pittsburgh at Detroit 7:08 PM ET
Gerrit Cole makes his second attempt to become the first 12-game winner in the majors when the Pittsburgh Pirates visit the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday night in the opener of a three-game series. Cole will lock up with Detroit's Justin Verlander, who will be making only his third start of the season after skipping his last turn due to back stiffness.
Cleveland at Tampa Bay 7:10 PM ET
For one night, at least, the Cleveland Indians’ offense resembled the unit many predicted would lead them to the AL Central title. The Indians head into Tuesday’s contest against host Tampa Bay looking to build on Monday's rare offensive outburst after snapping a three-game losing streak with a 7-1 victory over the Rays.
Minnesota at Cincinnati 7:10 PM ET
The Cincinnati Reds hope to continue their offensive surge when they host the Minnesota Twins in the middle contest of their three-game interleague series on Tuesday. Cincinnati took out its frustrations on the Twins in Monday's opener, erupting for 17 hits (13 singles) in an 11-7 triumph after scoring a total of four runs while being swept of a three-game set by the Mets in New York over the weekend.
Washington at Atlanta 7:10 PM ET
After having their eight-game winning streak snapped, the Washington Nationals look to go on another run when they continue their road trip with the first of three contests at the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday night. The Nationals are 8-1 versus Atlanta this season, including a three-game sweep last week to make it eight straight wins in the series.
Chi. Cubs at NY Mets 7:10 PM ET

The Chicago Cubs are stuck in their longest slide of the season as they begin a three-game road series against the surging New York Mets on Tuesday. The Cubs have dropped five straight and appear to be headed to the Big Apple at the wrong time with the Mets on a four-game winning streak -- their longest since taking 11 in a row in April.

San Francisco at Miami 7:10 PM ET
The San Francisco Giants are in the midst of an offensive surge entering Tuesday's opener of a three-game set against the host Miami Marlins, who find themselves in desperate need of runs in the absence of superstar slugger Giancarlo Stanton. The Giants have scored 38 times en route to winning four of their last five contests while the Marlins have mustered just 11 runs during their last seven games (1-6).
Kansas City at Houston 8:10 PM ET
The Houston Astros struck first in a battle of division winners and own the most wins in the American League. The Kansas City Royals will try to even the series and match 45 wins when they visit the Astros for the second of a three-game set on Tuesday.
Chi. White Sox at St. Louis 8:15 PM ET
Chris Sale looks to become the second pitcher in major-league history to record double-digit strikeouts in eight straight outings when he leads the Chicago White Sox into an abbreviated two-game series at the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday. Making his 100th career start, the 26-year-old left-hander Sale would join Pedro Martinez (1999) should he accomplish the feat against the team with the best record in baseball (51-24).
LA Dodgers at Arizona 9:40 PM ET
The Los Angeles Dodgers allowed just 11 runs during the first seven games of their 10-game road trip but the Arizona Diamondbacks almost equaled that total in the opener of a three-game set Monday. Arizona pushed across 10 runs over its final four at-bats to produce a 10-6 victory and halt a string of seven straight losses to the Dodgers.
NY Yankees at LA Angels 10:05 PM ET
Mike Trout was an all-around standout in the series opener and looks to inflict further damage when the Los Angeles Angels host the New York Yankees in Tuesday's middle contest of a three-game series. Trout homered and twice robbed New York's Chris Young of extra-base hits with his glove work to help Los Angeles post a 4-1 victory for its fifth win in the last seven games.
Colorado at Oakland 10:05 PM ET
It is unlikely that Oakland gets involved in the pennant race this season, but defeating sub.-500 teams such as Colorado at home is a must as the Athletics try to make it two straight over the Rockies on Tuesday in the middle contest of their three-game series. Oakland snapped a three-game losing streak with a 7-1 victory Monday and may have also gotten two slumping players going as Josh Reddick and Billy Butler each delivered home runs.
Seattle at San Diego 10:10 PM ET
The Seattle Mariners hope to begin turning their disappointing season around when they visit the scuffling San Diego Padres on Tuesday in the first of a two-game interleague series. The Mariners, expected to be in the hunt for an American League playoff spot, have dropped five of their last seven to fall a season-high eight games under .500.
