Seattle at Cleveland 12:10 PM ET
The Seattle Mariners broke out of a scoring funk to defeat Cleveland for the second game in a row and hope the bats remain potent for Thursday's series finale against the host Indians. Seattle halted a dubious franchise mark of scoring three or fewer runs in 13 straight games by posting a 9-3 victory Wednesday.
San Diego at Atlanta 12:10 PM ET
As the San Diego Padres send Jedd Gyorko to the minors in the hopes the second baseman finds his swing, they welcome back a key offensive contributor. First baseman Wil Myers, out since May 19 with tendinitis in his left wrist, could be activated in time for Thursday afternoon’s matchup against the Braves as the Padres try to salvage a split of the four-game series.
Texas at Oakland 3:35 PM ET
The Texas Rangers’ Chi Chi Gonzalez aims to become the third pitcher since 1910 to open his major league career with three straight scoreless outings when he takes the mound Thursday in the rubber match of a three-game set against the host Oakland Athletics. Texas has won eight of its last 11 to move two games back of Houston in the AL West and eight ahead of cellar-dwelling Oakland, which snapped a four-game skid with Wednesday’s 5-4 victory.
Boston at Baltimore 7:05 PM ET
The Baltimore Orioles typically cure what ails them at the expense of the Boston Red Sox. Winners of five of their last six following a five-game skid, the Orioles look to secure a three-game series sweep when the American League East rivals reconvene at Camden Yards on Thursday.
LA Angels at Tampa Bay 7:10 PM ET
The Tampa Bay Rays will go for their fourth consecutive series win when they host the Los Angeles Angels on Thursday in the rubber match of a three-game set. The Rays bounced back from an 8-2 series opening loss with a 4-2 victory on Wednesday to improve to 8-3 over their last 11 games and close within 1 1/2 games of the first-place New York Yankees in the American League East.
Colorado at Miami 7:10 PM ET
A road trip that begin with a lot of promise ended with a thud for the Miami Marlins, who will attempt to rebound from their sixth series sweep of the season when they host the Colorado Rockies on Thursday in the opener of a four-game set. Miami won two of three at Colorado last weekend but was outscored 22-8 in losing all three in Toronto.
San Francisco at NY Mets 7:10 PM ET
With their bags packed with plenty of offense, the San Francisco Giants look to complete a successful road trip by claiming a sweep of their three-game series versus the host New York Mets on Thursday. The reigning World Series champion Giants lost five in a row heading into their ceremonial visit to the White House last week, but rebounded to score 29 runs en route to winning four of their last five.
Cincinnati at Chi. Cubs 8:05 PM ET
The Cincinnati Reds have matched their longest losing streak of the season but they could be without two key players entering the opener of a four-game series at the Chicago Cubs on Thursday. Shortstop Zack Cozart injured his right knee in Wednesday's 5-2 victory over Philadelphia, one day after second baseman Brandon Phillips suffered a mild groin strain.
Washington at Milwaukee 8:10 PM ET
Milwaukee standout Ryan Braun is in danger of missing the opener when the Brewers begin a four-game series against the visiting Washington Nationals on Thursday. Braun departed Wednesday's 2-0 loss against Pittsburgh with persistent dizziness and is considered "day to day."
