Preview Roundups
June 01, 2015
Toronto at Washington 7:05 PM ET

After closing a red-hot month of May with a fizzle, the Washington Nationals look to get back on track when they host the Toronto Blue Jays for a three-game interleague series starting Monday. The National League East-leading Nationals were swept in a three-game series at Cincinnati over the weekend, snapping a streak of nine consecutive series victories.

Minnesota at Boston 7:10 PM ET
The Minnesota Twins had little trouble sweeping past the Boston Red Sox at home last week, part of a 20-win May. The Red Sox will try to turn the tables when the teams open up a four-game series at Fenway Park on Monday.
Chi. Cubs at Miami 7:10 PM ET

After facing two straight contenders and with two more tough series on the horizon, the Chicago Cubs need to take advantage of a trip to Miami to take on the Marlins for three games starting Monday. The Cubs salvaged a two-game split with Kansas City on Sunday after dropping two of three to Washington, and they need some positive momentum before facing the Nationals for four more games next weekend and wrapping up a nine-game road trip in Detroit.

Baltimore at Houston 8:10 PM ET
The Houston Astros lead the American League in wins but are not playing like it of late. The Astros will try to snap out of a funk and earn their second win in five games when they host the opener of a four-game series against the Baltimore Orioles on Monday.
Milwaukee at St. Louis 8:10 PM ET
The St. Louis Cardinals own the best record in baseball and are especially dominant at home, where they continued a nine-game stay by taking two of three from the Los Angeles Dodgers over the weekend. The Cardinals will try to pad their home record and their National League Central lead when they host the major league-worst Milwaukee Brewers in the opener of a three-game set on Monday.
LA Dodgers at Colorado 8:40 PM ET
The Colorado Rockies took advantage of two of the National League’s most inept offenses in order to complete a 5-1 road trip last week. The Rockies will find another struggling offensive unit awaiting them when they return to Denver and kick off a 10-game homestand on Monday with the first of four contests against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Atlanta at Arizona 9:40 PM ET
Paul Goldschmidt hopes his hot hitting in Milwaukee this weekend carries over when the Arizona Diamondbacks return home to open a seven-game homestand Monday against the Atlanta Braves. Goldschmidt blasted three homers and finished 9-for-14 against the Brewers, collecting three hits in Sunday’s 17-inning defeat.
Tampa Bay at LA Angels 10:05 PM ET
This week's three-game series between the Los Angeles Angels and the visiting Tampa Bay Rays features plenty of big names, along with a rookie primed to join them on the national stage. Tampa Bay right fielder Steven Souza Jr. has helped the Rays move into a tie with the New York Yankees atop the American League East heading into Monday's matchup against the Angels, who might have rediscovered their offense during a four-game sweep of Detroit over the weekend.
NY Yankees at Seattle 10:10 PM ET
There was a time when it looked as if Felix Hernandez and Michael Pineda would form the backbone of the Seattle Mariners' rotation for years to come. The former teammates square off for the first time Monday, when Pineda leads the New York Yankees into Seattle for the opener of a three-game series.
NY Mets at San Diego 10:10 PM ET
The New York Mets kick off a seven-game road trip Monday when they visit the San Diego Padres for the opener of a three-game series. New York has not fared well away from home this season, winning only seven of its 22 road contests.
Pittsburgh at San Francisco 10:15 PM ET
The San Francisco Giants posted a major league-best 21 victories in May and look to carry that over to June as they host the red-hot Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday in the opener of their three-game series. San Francisco had won 13-of-15 contests before dropping the last two against Atlanta, coughing up a two-run lead late in a 7-5 loss on Sunday.
