NY Mets at Washington 1:05 PM ET
The Washington Nationals assured that they would finish out the current series in first place in the National League East with a victory on Tuesday but could stand to put some more distance between themselves and the New York Mets. The Nationals, who own a 1 1/2-game lead in the division, host the Mets in the rubber match of the three-game series on Wednesday.
Philadelphia at Detroit 1:10 PM ET
The Detroit Tigers are winners of four straight and eight of nine to pull above .500 and are getting some pitching to go along with the offense that is driving the surge. The Tigers will try to pull off a clean sweep when they host the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday in the finale of a three-game interleague series.
Kansas City at Minnesota 1:10 PM ET
After failing in their last two bids for a series sweep, the Kansas City Royals likely are feeling better about their chances to bring out the brooms on Wednesday afternoon as they play the finale of their set versus the host Minnesota Twins. Kansas City was unable to close the deal against both Boston and the Chicago White Sox in its previous two series but has won a franchise-record eight in a row versus major league-worst Minnesota.
Chi. Cubs at St. Louis 1:45 PM ET

The Chicago Cubs rediscovered their offense in the middle game of their three-game series at St. Louis, but they might not need many runs with their ace on the mound Wednesday. Reigning National League Cy Young Award winner Jake Arrieta takes the mound for the series finale, opposing Cardinals right-hander Carlos Martinez in the rubber match.

LA Angels at Texas 2:05 PM ET
Elvis Andrus and Ian Desmond have shown themselves to be quite comfortable at the plate while the Texas Rangers continue to be rude hosts at Globe Life Park. Andrus and Desmond look to continue their torrid play on Wednesday afternoon as Texas vies for its fourth win in five contests in the finale of its three-game series versus the visiting Los Angeles Angels.
Cleveland at Chi. White Sox 2:10 PM ET
The Cleveland Indians are in position to move a half-game behind Chicago in the American League Central when they close a four-game series against the host White Sox on Wednesday. The Indians handed Chicago ace Chris Sale his first loss of the season Tuesday and have won seven of their past 10 contests.
San Diego at San Francisco 3:45 PM ET
The San Francisco Giants look to remain perfect against the San Diego Padres this season when the National League West rivals meet at AT&T Park on Wednesday afternoon for the finale of their three-game series. San Francisco is on the verge of sweeping its third three-game series against San Diego this season after posting an 8-2 victory Tuesday.
Toronto at NY Yankees 7:05 PM ET
The New York Yankees haven't had a winning record since a mid-April series in Toronto, but they have a chance to move above 500 for the first time since then when they host the visiting Blue Jays on Wednesday in the second of a three-game set. The Yankees stretched their winning streak to six games with a 6-0 drubbing of Toronto in the series opener.
Arizona at Pittsburgh 7:05 PM ET
Gregory Polanco is in the midst of a breakout season for the Pittsburgh Pirates, who go for their eighth victory in 10 games against the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday night. Polanco homered and recorded a career-high five RBIs while the Pirates amassed 17 hits in a 12-1 romp of Arizona in the series opener.
Colorado at Boston 7:10 PM ET
The Boston Red Sox lead the major leagues in runs scored and are at their most prolific offensively at Fenway Park. The Red Sox will try to score five or more runs for the 13th time in the last 14 home games when they host the Colorado Rockies in the second of a three-game interleague series on Wednesday.
Miami at Tampa Bay 7:10 PM ET
With each team squeezing out a one-run decision to open the Citrus Series, the Miami Marlins and Tampa Bay Rays take their rivalry to Tropicana Field to begin a two-game set on Wednesday. Tampa Bay rebounded from a 7-6 setback in the opener and snapped a three-game skid on Tuesday afternoon as former Marlin Logan Morrison collected three hits in a 4-3 triumph.
Milwaukee at Atlanta 7:10 PM ET
Junior Guerra pitched in 225 games throughout the minors and around the world before making his major-league debut last season, but the 31-year-old has been a revelation for Milwaukee entering his fifth start of the season Wednesday at Atlanta. Guerra is 3-0 with a 3-to-1 strikeouts-to-walks ratio since being called up May 3, a bright spot for a Brewers team that snapped a three-game losing streak with a 2-1 victory over the Braves in Tuesday’s series opener.
Baltimore at Houston 8:10 PM ET
The Houston Astros halted a four-game losing streak in the opener of a three-game series against Baltimore and attempt to defeat the visiting Orioles for the second straight night Wednesday. Shortstop Carlos Correa delivered the game-winning walk-off single in the 13th inning as Houston posted a 3-2 victory on Tuesday.
Oakland at Seattle 10:10 PM ET
Leonys Martin has been red-hot at the plate over his last eight games and will attempt to extend his hitting streak to nine contests when the Seattle Mariners host the Oakland Athletics on Wednesday for the rubber match of their three-game series. Martin was the hero on Tuesday as he belted a walk-off two-run homer with two out in the ninth inning to give the Mariners a dramatic 6-5 victory.
Cincinnati at LA Dodgers 10:10 PM ET
The Los Angeles Dodgers try for a three-game sweep and their ninth straight victory over the visiting Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday and could have an extra-motivated player on their hands in Yasiel Puig. The talented right fielder received what appeared to be a lecture from manager Dave Roberts after turning a drive off the wall into a single by admiring his hit near home plate during the sixth inning of Tuesday's 8-2 victory and was removed as part of a double switch.
