Texas at NY Yankees 1:05 PM ET
The New York Yankees finally broke out of their offensive funk but their valiant comeback came up short in Friday's 10-9, series-opening loss to the Texas Rangers. The Yankees attempt to avoid a season-worst five-game skid when they host the visiting Rangers on Saturday in the second of a three-game set.
Seattle at Toronto 1:07 PM ET
James Paxton attempts to extend his 20-inning scoreless streak when the Seattle Mariners visit the Toronto Blue Jays in the second contest of their three-game series on Saturday afternoon. Paxton hasn’t been scored upon since giving up a two-run homer to Albert Pujols in the first inning of his start against the Los Angeles Angels on May 5.
NY Mets at Pittsburgh 4:05 PM ET
Matt Harvey has not allowed a run in three of his last four starts and takes a 16-inning scoreless streak to the mound Saturday when the New York Mets visit the Pittsburgh Pirates in the second of a three-game series. Harvey won his first five starts to open the season but is winless in his last three despite back-to-back overpowering performances.
Philadelphia at Washington 4:05 PM ET
The Washington Nationals attempt to extend their winning streak to seven games when they host the Phladelphia Phillies in the middle contest of their three-game series Saturday. Washington rallied for its sixth straight triumph in Friday's opener as Bryce Harper forged a 1-1 tie in the second inning with his National League-leading 16th homer before Max Scherzer - who tossed eight strong frames - singled and scored the winning run on Ian Desmond's double in the sixth.
Houston at Detroit 4:08 PM ET
Lance McCullers has an opportunity to be a fixture in the Houston rotation and can solidify a starting spot when he faces the host Detroit Tigers on Saturday. The 21-year-old McCullers is making his second big-league start and aims to help the Astros record their first win of the four-game series.
Minnesota at Chi. White Sox 4:10 PM ET
Chris Sale has split two outings against Minnesota this season, and the losing effort will long remain one of the most miserable of his career. The Chicago White Sox ace was torched for a career-worst nine runs (eight earned) in three innings on April 30 and looks for a much better performance on Saturday afternoon in the second contest of a three-game series against the visiting Twins.
Cincinnati at Cleveland 4:10 PM ET
Corey Kluber is starting to flash the form that won him the American League Cy Young Award last season and looks to lead the Cleveland Indians to their fifth consecutive victory against the visiting Cincinnati Reds on Saturday afternoon. The Indians rolled to a 7-3 victory in the interleague series opener to hand Cincinnati its sixth straight defeat.
Oakland at Tampa Bay 4:10 PM ET
The surging Tampa Bay Rays look to extend a home winning streak and solidify their hold on first place in the American League East when they continue a four-game series with Oakland on Saturday. The Rays have taken the first two games of the set - including Friday's 5-2 triumph - to move a season-high five games over .500 (24-19).
Milwaukee at Atlanta 4:10 PM ET
The Atlanta Braves expect Shelby Miller to provide another solid outing when he takes the mound for Saturday’s home game with the Milwaukee Brewers, but the emerging ace will be hard-pressed to top his last start. Miller came within one out of firing Atlanta’s first no-hitter in 21 years Sunday in Miami, finishing with a two-hit shutout to further bolster his standing as the Braves’ ace.
San Francisco at Colorado 4:10 PM ET
The San Francisco Giants survived a late scare in the opener to post their seventh consecutive victory and attempt to continue their winning ways Saturday as they continue their four-game series against the host Colorado Rockies with a day-night doubleheader. Brandon Belt and Matt Duffy each went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer Friday while Buster Posey collected three RBIs as San Francisco built an 11-4 lead before Colorado staged a comeback attempt in the ninth inning.
Baltimore at Miami 7:15 PM ET
The losses keep piling up for the Miami Marlins and new manager Dan Jennings. The Marlins will try to avoid a ninth straight setback while Jennings attempts to earn his first win on the bench when they host the Orioles in the second of a three-game interleague series on Saturday.
LA Angels at Boston 7:15 PM ET
The Los Angeles Angels enjoyed their biggest offensive outburst of the month in the series opener and can clinch a winning road trip with a second straight victory at the Boston Red Sox on Saturday. The Angels pounded out a 12-5 victory on Friday and have won five of eight on a 10-game road trip against American League East opponents.
St. Louis at Kansas City 7:15 PM ET
The Kansas City Royals struck first in the I-70 series and took over the best record in the majors in the process. The Royals will try to clinch the three-game series and claim territorial bragging rights when they host the St. Louis Cardinals in the second of a three-game series on Friday.
San Francisco at Colorado 9:10 PM ET
The San Francisco Giants survived a late scare in the opener to post their seventh consecutive victory and attempt to continue their winning ways Saturday as they continue their four-game series against the host Colorado Rockies in a day-night doubleheader. Brandon Belt and Matt Duffy each went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer Friday while Buster Posey collected three RBIs as San Francisco built an 11-4 lead before Colorado staged a comeback attempt in the ninth inning.
Chi. Cubs at Arizona 10:10 PM ET
The Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday carry a five-game winning streak — their longest since 2013 — into the second contest of their three-game series with the visiting Chicago Cubs and can thank their heavy-hitting first baseman for keeping the run alive. Paul Goldschmidt on Friday continued his assault on Chicago pitching with a two-run homer in the 10th inning to tie the game before Nick Ahmed's first career walk-off hit gave Arizona a 5-4 victory in 13 innings.
San Diego at LA Dodgers 10:10 PM ET
The Los Angeles Dodgers have scored a total of four runs in their last six games, but they look downright explosive next to the San Diego Padres, who have been shutout in three of their last seven contests. The Padres look to snap a three-game skid Saturday against the host Dodgers, who are 18-5 at home.
