Atlanta at Pittsburgh 7:05 PM ET
Getting an early lead pays off for the Pittsburgh Pirates, a recipe they will look to replicate again Tuesday when hosting the Atlanta Braves in the second contest of a four-game series. Pittsburgh improved to 16-0 when leading after six innings thanks to a three-run first-inning outburst in Monday’s series-opening 8-5 victory over Atlanta, the first of a 10-game homestand which features seven games against teams with a sub-.500 record.
Miami at Philadelphia 7:05 PM ET
Marcell Ozuna has made himself at home at the plate during his career high-tying 16-game hitting streak while the Miami Marlins have enjoyed life on the road with a 13-7 record. Ozuna and the Marlins look to continue their respective torrid stretches when they visit the National League East-rival Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday in the middle contest of their three-game series.
Tampa Bay at Toronto 7:07 PM ET
Desmond Jennings broke out of a pronounced slump and the Tampa Bay Rays did the same en route to posting an emphatic victory in the opener of their eight-game road trip. Jennings and the Rays hope to ride the momentum of the offensive explosion on Tuesday as they vie to clinch a series victory against the Toronto Blue Jays.
Minnesota at Detroit 7:10 PM ET
Detroit Tigers manager Brad Ausmus has come under fire with the team slumping of late and let out his frustrations on the umpires on Monday. The outburst seemed to spark the team, and the Tigers will try to earn their third consecutive win when they host the Minnesota Twins in the second of a three-game series on Tuesday.
Washington at NY Mets 7:10 PM ET
After providing loud statements in their last outings, Max Scherzer and Noah Syndergaard look to make noise at the other's expense on Tuesday when the Washington Nationals open a three-game series at the New York Mets. Scherzer became the fourth pitcher in major-league history to record a 20-strikeout performance on Wednesday for Washington, which has dropped two in a row but still holds a 1 1/2-game lead over reeling New York in the National League East.
Houston at Chi. White Sox 8:10 PM ET
Dallas Keuchel looks to find his 2015 Cy Young form again and snap a five-game winless streak when his Houston Astros visit the first-place Chicago White Sox on Tuesday in the opener of a three-game series. Keuchel, who went 20-8 last season with a 2.48 ERA, surrendered 44 hits over 29 1/3 innings in his past five starts while losing four of them.
Chi. Cubs at Milwaukee 8:10 PM ET

The Chicago Cubs have taken care of business on the road and against division opponents while racking up the best record in the majors. They hope to continue both trends when they begin a three-game series against the host Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday.

Boston at Kansas City 8:15 PM ET
The defending champion Kansas City Royals snapped a streak of five straight series losses to open their homestand, but nothing is coming easily. The Royals will try to post back-to-back wins for the first time since April 21 and 22 when they host the red-hot Boston Red Sox on Tuesday in the opener of a three-game series that will conclude with a doubleheader on Wednesday after Monday’s game was rained out.
Colorado at St. Louis 8:15 PM ET
The Colorado Rockies recorded the worst ERA in the National League in each of the last four years and the highest in the majors in three, but are starting to get better results as they embark on a nine-game road trip beginning Tuesday with the first of three against the St. Louis Cardinals. Colorado has the third-worst ERA in the NL at 4.95, but looks to improve on its impressive 3.38 road number while building on its season-high four-game winning streak.
NY Yankees at Arizona 9:40 PM ET
Zack Greinke hasn't lived up to this year's $31 million salary or his ace billing yet but gets another chance to begin a lengthy roll when the Arizona Diamondbacks host the New York Yankees on Tuesday. Greinke has a hefty 5.26 ERA after eight starts with the Diamondbacks and already has lost as many games as he did last season, when he went 19-3 with a 1.66 ERA for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Texas at Oakland 10:05 PM ET
Texas second baseman Rougned Odor expects to be suspended prior to first pitch Tuesday when the Rangers visit the Oakland Athletics in the second contest of a three-game set. Odor delivered a right cross to the face of Toronto's Jose Bautista during a brawl Sunday and said Monday that he expects to be "suspended for a couple of games."
LA Angels at LA Dodgers 10:10 PM ET
The Los Angeles Angels attempt to finish with a perfect record on their five-game road trip when they visit the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday. The San Francisco Giants are beginning to dominate on the mound and have their ace going Tuesday night in the opener of a three-game series against the Padres in San Diego.
