Philadelphia at St. Louis 1:45 PM ET
The St. Louis Cardinals attempt to clinch their sixth consecutive series win when they host the Philadelphia Phillies in the finale of their four-game set on Thursday afternoon. St. Louis has yet to lose a series this year, splitting a season-opening set at the Chicago Cubs that was reduced to two contests due to weather before capturing its next five.
LA Angels at Oakland 3:35 PM ET
The Los Angeles Angels may not know the status of Albert Pujols until close to game time when they conclude a three-game series against the host Oakland Athletics on Thursday. Pujols left Wednesday’s 6-3 victory with a left hamstring injury that occurred in the sixth inning when he was jogging to first base after hitting a single.
Toronto at Cleveland 7:10 PM ET
The Toronto Blue Jays hope to get back on track when they continue their 10-game road trip with the first of four straight outings against the Cleveland Indians on Thursday. The slumping Blue Jays have dropped five of their last six games after managing just three hits in the 4-1 loss to the Boston Red Sox on Wednesday and have failed to score more than three runs in four of their last six contests.
Cincinnati at Atlanta 7:10 PM ET
The Atlanta Braves are coming off a dreadful set against the Washington Nationals and hope to put that out of their minds in time for Thursday's series opener against the visiting Cincinnati Reds. The Braves twice led by eight runs against Washington on Tuesday before suffering a crushing 13-12 defeat, and things did not get any better Wednesday as the team dropped a 13-4 decision.
Washington at NY Mets 7:10 PM ET
The New York Mets look to keep their perfect home record intact when they host the Washington Nationals in the opener of a four-game series on Thursday. New York followed a season-opening 3-3 road trip with an astounding 10-0 homestand before embarking on a six-game trek that produced disappointing results.
Chi. White Sox at Minnesota 8:10 PM ET
While Chris Sale is appealing his five-game suspension for his role in a benches-clearing brawl last week, the Chicago White Sox left-hander will take the mound Thursday for the first of four games against the host Minnesota Twins. The White Sox are coming off a bizarre series in Baltimore, while Minnesota lost two of three against Detroit this week.
Detroit at Kansas City 8:10 PM ET
The American League Central is already looking like it could be a two-team race between Detroit and Kansas City. The division rivals, who took the race down to the wire in 2014, meet for the first time this year when the Royals host the Tigers on Thursday in the opener of a big four-game set.
Seattle at Houston 8:10 PM ET
The Houston Astros are the hottest team in baseball as they return home to open a four-game series against the Seattle Mariners on Thursday. Houston finished an 8-1 road trip with a 7-2 victory over San Diego, its sixth consecutive triumph and 10th in the last 11 contests.
