Marlins 4, Rockies 2: Christian Yelich went 3-for-4 with two RBIs in his major-league debut while rookie Jose Fernandez pitched seven solid innings as visiting Miami made it two straight over Colorado.

Adeiny Hechavarria - one of five rookies in the Marlins' starting lineup - added two hits and an RBI while Giancarlo Stanton hit a solo home run. Fernandez (6-5) yielded two runs, five hits and struck out eight while Steve Cishek worked around a leadoff walk in the ninth to earn his 19th save - and second in as many nights.

Todd Helton opened the scoring with a solo home run and Carlos Gonzalez drove in his team-leading 67th run for the Rockies, who fell to 2-3 on their 10-game homestand. Jhoulys Chacin (9-5) allowed three runs and eight hits in seven innings to lose for the second time in three starts.

Yelich, batting second, pulled a single through the hole between first and second in his first at-bat and delivered a two-out single to center in the third to score Hechavarria and tie the game. Hechavarria's RBI double in the fifth put Miami ahead and Yelich followed with a run-scoring infield hit to make it 3-1.

The Rockies cut the deficit in half when DJ LeMahieu led off the sixth inning with a triple and scored on Gonzalez's groundout. Stanton hit his seventh home run in 31 at-bats at Coors Field in the eighth - a blast well into the seats in left - to put the Marlins ahead 4-2.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Helton's 361st home run moved him into a tie with Joe DiMaggio for 76th on the career list. His 1,377th RBI put him ahead of Johnny Bench into 78th. ... Yelich, the No. 23 selection in the 2010 draft, became the second Marlin to record three hits in his first three at-bats. Mike Redmond - his manager - was the first in 1998. ... The five rookies in Miami's lineup were SS Hechavarria, LF Yelich, 3B Ed Lucas, RHP Fernandez and CF Jake Marisnick, who went 0-for-4 in his major-league debut.
