The Los Angeles Dodgers won in Oakland, Calif., for the first time since 2001, riding the four-hit pitching of Rich Hill and four relievers to a 4-2 victory over the Oakland Athletics in the opener of a two-game interleague series.

Austin Barnes squeezed home a run in the second inning, and Enrique Hernandez and Cody Bellinger also drove in runs in the first three innings as the Dodgers knocked A's ace Sean Manaea out of the game early en route to their second straight win.

The Dodgers had lost eight in a row in Oakland.

Hill (5-4), who pitched a half-season for the A's before getting dealt to the Dodgers in 2016, worked the first 5 1/3 innings, allowing two runs and three hits. He walked four and struck out five.

The two runs off Hill were the product of Khris Davis' 32nd home run of the season in the sixth inning after the Dodgers had already built a 3-0 lead.

Relievers Dylan Floro, Scott Alexander and JT Chargois followed Hill and limited the A's to one hit over the next 2 2/3 innings. Closer Kenley Jansen then put down Oakland 1-2-3 in the ninth with two strikeouts for his 32nd save.

The Dodgers scored once in each of the first three innings.

In the first, Brian Dozier singled, then was forced out at second on a Manny Machado grounder. Machado took third on Justin Turner's one-out double before scoring on Hernandez's infield out.

Chris Taylor worked a walk to open the second and advanced to third on a single by Yasiel Puig, from where he raced home on Barnes' bunt back to Manaea for a 2-0 lead.

Bellinger's RBI single in the third plated Turner, who had led off the inning with a single.

Manaea (10-8) was pulled after just 2 2/3 innings, having allowed three runs and five hits. He walked three and struck out just one in his shortest start of the season.

After Davis' home run cut Oakland's deficit to 3-2, the Dodgers tacked on in the seventh when Joc Pederson doubled and Matt Kemp singled to create a two-run cushion.

Turner and Puig had two hits apiece for the Dodgers, who were coming off a 3-4 homestand.

Los Angeles split a pair of games with the A's in Los Angeles in April, winning 4-0 and losing 16-6. The Dodgers will sent Clayton Kershaw to the mound Wednesday in search for a season-series win.

Davis' two RBIs gave him 88 for the A's, who had opened an eight-game homestand with six straight wins last week.

The Dodgers out-hit the A's 9-4.
