Harvey (3-5) scattered six hits and walked one batter during his longest start of the season. He improved to 3-3 since joining the Reds on May 8.

The Braves placed two runners on base in the seventh, when Harvey was relieved in favor of Amir Garrett, who struck out pinch hitter Danny Santana to end the threat.

Raisel Iglesias pitched the final 1 1/3 innings to earn his 14th save. It was his sixth save of more than one inning.

Rookie Jesse Winker paced the Cincinnati attack by going 3-for-4 and driving in two runs. He has hit safely in six of his last seven games, hitting .444 (8-for 18) during that stretch. Scooter Gennett had two hits to extend his hitting streak to nine games and scored three runs.

Atlanta starter Anibal Sanchez (3-2) left the game with two outs in the fifth inning after he felt discomfort in his right leg. He allowed two runs on five hits and one walk, with five strikeouts.

The Reds broke through for a run in the fourth inning when Gennett scored on Winker's single past second base.

The Braves tied the score in the bottom of the fourth. Tyler Flowers doubled to center field, which allowed Freddie Freeman to score.

Cincinnati struck again in the fifth inning when Scott Schebler drove home Jose Peraza with a double to left field.

The Reds tacked on another run in the sixth to take a 3-1 lead. Gennett scored when Adam Duvall stroked a line-drive RBI single to left.

Cincinnati scored another run in the eighth against reliever Shane Carle on Winker's RBI single.

The Braves scored twice in the eighth, one coming on an infield groundout from Freeman and the other on a grounder from Nick Markakis. Iglesias entered to get the final out of the inning.

The Reds got an insurance run in the ninth when Gennett lined a run-scoring single to right field.

The Reds have won eight of their last nine games.
