LOS ANGELES -- With the exception of a second-inning bump in the road, Clayton Kershaw steered the Los Angeles Dodgers on another smooth ride.

Joc Pederson homered twice, and Kershaw delivered a solid performance, lifting the Dodgers to a 5-1 victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday night at Dodger Stadium.

Kershaw struck out 11, walked none and limited the Angels to one run on four hits in eight innings. He extended his streak of 10 or more strikeouts to six consecutive games, a franchise record. He is the fifth pitcher since 1900 to have a streak of 10-strikeout games at least that long, according to ESPN.

Kershaw (6-1) also singled in the third inning, though he was thrown out by Angels center field Mike Trout while trying to advance to third on a Chase Utley hit. Dodger pitchers have hit safely five games in a row.

"It was a good win today," said Kershaw, who has won all four of his starts in May and is 4-1 in five starts at home this season. "The Angels are playing well right now, swinging the bats well. (We) got some big home runs there. Felt good to go eight and get a win."

Said Pederson of Kershaw, "He's the best at what he does. It's a fun thing to be on his team and to watch him from center field and compete and go about his business every fifth day."

Closer Kenley Jansen pitched a perfect ninth for the Dodgers in a non-save situation.

Corey Seager also homered for the Dodgers, who ended a two-game slide. Seager, who has an eight-game hitting streak and has homered four times in his last four games, went deep off Angels starter Jered Weaver in the seventh inning for his seventh long ball of the season.

Weaver (3-3) served up four runs (three earned) on 10 hits with two walks and two strikeouts in seven innings. Weaver has a 2-2 mark in six career starts at Dodger Stadium.

"I'm still not throwing the ball the way I'd like to," said Weaver, who has lost three consecutive starts. "There have been signs of throwing some good pitches, but just can't repeat like I'd like to. But the last thing I'm going to do is quit on this team, and I'm going to keep going out there battling. It's my mentality."

The Angels (17-22) had their four-game winning streak snapped.

The Angels pushed across a run in the second inning on three singles and a balk. Albert Pujols led off with a base hit up the middle and advanced to second when Kershaw faked a pickoff throw but was called for a balk instead by first base umpire Ed Hickox.

"I fell off balance," Kershaw said. "I thought I stepped off in time, but I was going to balk one way or another, so I tried to jump off (the mound). But it didn't work, I guess."

Two batters later, Shane Robinson drove home Pujols with a single for a 1-0 Angels lead.

The Dodgers (21-19) tied the score in the third when Trout dropped Justin Turner's fly ball, which would have been the third out of the inning, at the wall for an error. Utley scored on the play.

After Howie Kendrick opened the fourth with a base hit, Pederson launched a two-run homer into the right field bleachers for a 3-1 Dodgers advantage. It was Pederson's seventh home run this season, and he added his eighth in the eighth inning, a solo shot off A.J. Achter.

"Everyone stepped up," said Pederson, who recorded his second career multi-homer game, with the other one occurring May 6, 2015, at the Milwaukee Brewers. "Howie had a nice night, and we put together enough runs and were able to hold on and win a very important ballgame."

Kendrick, Trayce Thompson and Utley each collected two hits in the Dodgers' 13-hit attack. Johnny Giavotella had two of the Angels' four hits.

The game lasted just two hours and 12 minutes.

NOTES: The Dodgers will activate RHP Mike Bolsinger from the disabled list to start Wednesday's contest against the Angels at Angel Stadium. Bolsinger posted a 2.25 ERA in two starts during a rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City. He has been out since spring training with a strained oblique muscle. Bolsinger will face Angels RHP Nick Tropeano (1-2, 3.68 ERA). ... The Angels placed OF Daniel Nava (left groin strain) and RHP Cory Rasmus (right groin strain) on the 15-day disabled list. To fill their spots, the club recalled RHP A.J. Achter and OF Rafael Ortega from Triple-A Salt Lake. ... Dodgers 1B Adrian Gonzalez, who left Monday's game in the sixth inning with lower back tightness, did not play. Howie Kendrick started in his place. ... The game drew a crowd of 42,514.
