TORONTO -- The word resiliency came up more than once in the Chicago White Sox clubhouse on Monday night.

They were down 5-1 in the seventh inning to a strong right-handed starter in Marcus Stroman and found a way to win 7-5 over the Toronto Blue Jays.

A two-run double by Todd Frazier capped the five-run seventh.

"We're so resilient, we've got a great team," said White Sox catcher Dioner Navarro, a former Blue Jay. "We knew we had a shot. We just kept on battling, taking good at-bats and we put something together. We know what we've got and we know what we're capable of."

Adam Eaton hit a two-run single in the seventh as the White Sox (14-6) won their fourth game in a row. Frazier finished with three RBIs in the opener of a three-game series.

"It doesn't matter who's out there," Frazier said. "It just takes one little thing to happen, it changes the way the game is going. Guys are battling, just battling. That's all we do, just battle."

The Blue Jays (10-11), who won their two previous games, got three RBIs from Edwin Encarnacion and a two-run homer from Michael Saunders.

"It's a gritty win tonight," White Sox manager Robin Ventura said. "We were down and out there. I think Stroman had us at a point where it look pretty bleak."

Neither starting pitcher factored in the decision.

Blue Jays right-hander Marcus Stroman allowed six hits, two walks and four runs in 6 2/3 innings. He struck out four.

Right-hander Miguel Gonzalez, making his White Sox debut, yielded 11 hits, two walks and five runs while striking out six in 5 1/3 innings. He was replaced by right-hander Zach Putnam (1-0), who picked up the win after throwing 1 1/3 scoreless innings.

Right-hander David Robertson pitched the ninth to earn his eighth save of the season despite giving up a double to Jose Bautista and a walk to Troy Tulowitzki. The game ended when Saunders' bouncer hit Tulowitzki.

Stroman allowed two singles and a walk in the seventh inning before Brett Cecil (0-4) took over with two outs and the bases loaded. The left-hander could not get an out from the three batters he faced.

"He's been pretty solid lately," Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said of Cecil. "After a slow start, he's been getting better. We're going to need him. He needs to get sharp."

Earlier in the inning, Stroman was hit on the left arm by Navarro's comebacker that second baseman Ryan Goins turned into the second out of the inning as the runners advanced to second and third. Stroman was examined by a trainer. He continued and walked Austin Jackson on four pitches.

"The arm's good, just a little bruised," Stroman said. "I'm fine."

Cecil allowed a two-run ground single up the middle to Eaton. Jimmy Rollins lined a single to left to trim the margin to one.

Cecil walked Jose Abreu to load the bases and was replaced by right-hander Gavin Floyd.

Frazier greeted Floyd with a two-run double that gave the White Sox a 6-5 lead.

TV cameras caught Stroman expressing his displeasure on the bench before leaving for the clubhouse. He said his anger was directed at himself for not completing his job.

"I felt like I didn't do my job in the end when I felt so good," Stroman said. "Shouldn't have walked the guy on four pitches after that. ... In no sense would I ever try to show my teammates up in any sense. It was frustration."

Rollins led off the ninth against switch pitcher Pat Venditte with a double and stole third as Abreu walked.

Frazier hit a sacrifice fly off right-hander Jesse Chavez for the game's final run.

The White Sox scored once in the first. Eaton led off with a single and took third on a single to right by Rollins, who moved to second on the throw. Eaton scored when Abreu grounded out to shortstop.

The Blue Jays took a 2-1 lead in their first on a double to center by Encarnacion that scored Josh Donaldson, who doubled off the top of the right-field wall, and Bautista, who walked.

Toronto took a 5-1 lead in the third. Bautista doubled and scored on Encarnacion's single. Encarnacion was out at third on a single to right by Tulowitzki. Saunders then hit his second homer of the season.
