Phillies 6, Nationals 2: Jimmy Rollins hit a pair of home runs and A.J. Burnett worked 7 2/3 strong innings as host Philadelphia extended its winning streak to five games.

Domonic Brown drove in two runs and Cameron Rupp added an RBI for the Phillies, who have scored 31 runs during their surge. Marlon Byrd joined Rollins with two hits and two runs scored while Burnett (6-8) allowed two runs and five hits with four walks and six strikeouts in winning for the second time in six starts.

Bryce Harper homered and Ryan Zimmerman recorded an RBI double for the Nationals, who have lost three of four at Philadelphia this season. All-Star Jordan Zimmermann (6-5) yielded four runs and six hits in 3 1/3 frames before exiting with an undisclosed injury.

Philadelphia got on the board in the second inning as Brown followed back-to-back singles by Byrd and Cody Asche with a two-run double. The Phillies doubled the lead a frame later, when Grady Sizemore hit a leadoff single and scored on Rollins' 10th blast of the season.

Rupp made it 5-0 with an RBI double in the sixth, but Washington ended Burnett's shutout bid when Harper opened the seventh with his second homer of the year. Rollins restored the five-run advantage in the bottom of the frame, completing his ninth career two-homer effort with a two-out blast to right field, before Zimmerman greeted reliever Ken Giles with his run-scoring two-base hit in the eighth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Rollins' last two-homer performance came on Aug. 1, 2012 - also against the Nationals. ... Washington C Wilson Ramos led off the fifth inning with a single, extending his career-best hitting streak to 14 games. ... Brown has driven in seven runs over his last four games while Rollins has recorded three homers and seven RBIs in his last three contests. ... Sizemore batted leadoff and went 1-for-4 in his Phillies debut after having his contract purchased from Triple-A Lehigh Valley earlier in the day.
