Rays 11, Yankees 5: James Loney capped a four-RBI performance with a go-ahead two-run single in the seventh inning as host Tampa Bay snapped a four-game skid.

Wil Myers had three hits and three RBIs, Evan Longoria went 3-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored and Sean Rodriguez slugged a two-run homer for the Rays, who overcame an early 4-0 deficit to end New York's winning streak at five. Jake McGee (1-0) got the win despite allowing a run in 1 1/3 innings after starter Erik Bedard gave up four runs in 3 2/3 frames.

Scott Sizemore ripped a three-run double and Jacoby Ellsbury recorded two hits and a run for the Yankees. Hiroki Kuroda allowed three runs in 5 2/3 innings, but the New York bullpen gave up eight runs in 2 1/3 innings, with Adam Warren (0-1) getting the loss.

Sizemore cleared the bases with a drive that got past a diving David DeJesus in center in the second and Brett Gardner knocked in Sizemore with a grounder to second later in the frame, but Loney cut the deficit in half with a two-run double in the fourth. Myers made it 4-3 with an RBI single in the sixth before Alfonso Soriano answered for New York with a run-scoring base hit in the seventh prior to the Yankees' bullpen implosion.

Desmond Jennings greeted Warren with a two-out RBI single in the bottom half to cut the Rays' deficit to 5-4 and Loney singled to right with the bases loaded to push across the tying and go-ahead runs. Rodriguez added insurance with a two-run blast in the eighth, his second in as many nights, and Tampa Bay piled on three more in the inning to pull away.
