Mets 4, Giants 2: Jacob deGrom outdueled Jake Peavy in the longest outing of his major-league career and Wilmer Flores highlighted a four-run seventh with a two-run double as host New York evened the four-game series at one win apiece.

Travis d'Arnaud and Juan Lagares each drove in a run while Jenrry Mejia notched his 16th save for the Mets, who improved to 3-2 on their seven-game homestand. DeGrom (6-5) carried a no-hitter into the seventh and finished having allowed two runs and four hits with seven strikeouts in 7 1/3 innings as he won his fifth consecutive start.

Travis Ishikawa plated both runs with a single for the Giants, who fell 3 1/2 games behind the first-place Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League West. Peavy (1-11) was perfect through 6 1/3 frames before coming undone as he remained winless since April 25 after yielding four runs and four hits in seven innings.

The teams combined for one baserunner over the first six innings as Brandon Belt drew a two-out walk from deGrom in the fifth. Pablo Sandoval provided the game's first hit, a two-out double to left-center field with two out in the seventh, while All-Star Daniel Murphy ended Peavy's bid for a perfect game with a one-out double to left in the bottom half.

Peavy unraveled from there, allowing a single by David Wright and hitting Lucas Duda with a pitch to load the bases for d'Arnaud, who lifted a sacrifice fly to right that snapped the scoreless tie. Lagares followed with an RBI single and Flores delivered a two-run double to cap the uprising before pinch-hitter Ishikawa produced a two-run base hit in the eighth to halve the deficit.
