Los Angeles, which recorded 17 hits, has scored at least five runs in every win during its current 7-1 stretch.

Calhoun set the tone when he tripled to begin the game and was awarded home on a throwing error, part of a four-run first inning for the Angels. He also doubled in a run to ignite a six-run second that saw Hamilton rip an RBI double and Aybar follow with a run-scoring hit to center.

Singles by Hank Conger and Calhoun in the third set the stage for Trout, who ended Lewis' night by launching a 3-2 offering over the wall in straightaway center to make it 13-2. Adrian Beltre homered and Jake Smolinski was 3-for-4 with three RBIs to pace the Rangers, who had catcher Chris Gimenez throw a perfect ninth in relief.
