Nationals 2, Marlins 1: Stephen Strasburg allowed only three hits over seven scoreless innings and visiting Washington held on to complete a four-game sweep of Miami.

Anthony Rendon went 2-for-4 with an RBI, Asdrubal Cabrera had two hits and Nate Schierholtz knocked in a run as the Nationals won for the 12th time in 15 games. Strasburg (13-11) walked two, struck out five and threw only 84 pitches to win his fifth game in six decisions.

Marcell Ozuna recorded one of the Marlins’ four hits before leaving the game in the seventh inning with a right ankle injury. Miami starter Nathan Eovaldi (6-13) yielded two runs on seven hits with four strikeouts over six innings to suffer his seventh straight loss.

Washington snapped a scoreless tie in the fifth as Jose Lobaton doubled and scored on a triple by Schierholtz, who came home on Rendon’s double down the left-field line. Rafael Soriano gave up Reed Johnson’s double and Donovan Solano’s sacrifice fly in the ninth before notching his 32nd save.

Strasburg put the first two batters on in the second, but Jarrod Saltalamacchia grounded into a double play and Enrique Hernandez struck out. Hernandez dove to catch Kevin Frandsen’s drive down the right-field line in the fourth and doubled off Adam LaRoche at first to foil a Nationals’ rally.

GAME NOTEBOOK: It was the second four-game sweep this season for the Nationals, who also accomplished the feat against Arizona from Aug. 18-21. … Ozuna hit the second base bag hard after legging out a double in the seventh and fell over in pain before being tagged out, but X-rays taken on his ankle came back negative. … Washington starts a seven-game homestand to end the regular season against the New York Mets on Monday and the Marlins host Philadelphia to begin a three-game set on Tuesday.
