Phillies 6, Marlins 3: Marlon Byrd drove in a pair of runs for the third straight game while Chase Utley had two hits and scored twice as Philadelphia notched its first home victory.

Domonic Brown and Jimmy Rollins added two hits apiece for the Phillies, who chased Marlins starter Jose Fernandez (2-1) after four-plus innings and snapped his streak of 20 straight starts allowing three runs or fewer. The reigning National League Rookie of the Year surrendered a career-high six earned runs in this one, yielding eight hits and four walks, including a free pass to Ryan Howard with the bases loaded to plate the go-ahead run in the third inning.

Phillies starter A.J. Burnett allowed two runs and five hits with six walks in 4 1/3 innings before leaving with tenderness in his groin, and three relievers bridged the gap to Jonathan Papelbon, who retired the side 1-2-3 in the ninth to snap Philadelphia's four-game skid. Derek Dietrich drove in two early runs and Jarrod Saltalamacchia scored twice for Miami, which has lost five straight.

Philadelphia broke open a 3-2 game with three runs in the fifth when Rollins' triple and Utley's single began a stretch of four straight hits against Fernandez. Byrd's RBI single ended the night for the second-year phenom before the Phillies tacked on one more run against reliever Kevin Slowey.

The Phillies scored two runs in the first as Byrd's RBI double and Brown's run-scoring single provided a brief lead until Dietrich evened it with a two-run homer in the top of the second. The Marlins had multiple base runners in every inning from the second to the sixth, including the bases loaded with one out in the fifth before Jacob Diekman (1-0) relieved a hobbled Burnett and struck out consecutive batters to end the threat.
