Dodgers 4, Giants 2: Justin Turner belted a pair of solo homers and Matt Kemp added a two-run shot as host Los Angeles reduced its magic number to one for winning the National League West.

Zack Greinke (16-8) outdueled Madison Bumgarner, allowing two runs on six hits to improve to 5-0 in seven career starts against San Francisco, which trails the Dodgers by 4 1/2 games with five to play. Kenley Jansen worked around a one-out single in the ninth before earning his 44th save.

Bumgarner (18-10) went 7 1/3 innings, permitting four runs on six hits to fall to 5-1 over his last eight starts. He provided all the offense with a two-run homer while batterymate Buster Posey had two hits for the Giants, who fell one game behind Pittsburgh for the top wild card but lead Milwaukee by five games with five to play.

Bumgarner allowed only five runs in four previous starts versus the Dodgers this season, but had a rocky first inning when Turner led off with a homer and he hit Yasiel Puig in the foot with a breaking ball, prompting the benches to clear. Two batters later, Kemp launched a two-run shot to straightaway center for a 3-0 lead.

Bumgarner settled down on the mound and used his bat to get the Giants back into the game in the third, driving a hanging breaking ball from Greinke into the seats in left for his fourth home run of the season to cut the deficit to a run. It stayed that way until the eighth when Turner lofted a breaking ball into the seats in left for his second career two-homer game.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Bumgarner's two-run blast gave him 15 RBIs, the most in a season by a Giants pitcher since Juan Marichal drove in 15 in 1966. ... Kemp, who turned 30 on Tuesday, also homered on his 27th birthday in 2011. ... Giants CF Angel Pagan will undergo season-ending back surgery Thursday to correct a bulging disk in his back.
