Phillies 3, Dodgers 2 (10): Domonic Brown doubled in the go-ahead run in the 10th inning as visiting Philadelphia capitalized on a critical defensive error to beat Los Angeles for the second straight game.

Carlos Ruiz hit a fly ball off J.P. Howell (1-2) into shallow left field with one out in the 10th inning and reached second base when it fell between shortstop Hanley Ramirez and left fielder Carl Crawford, who had the ball glance off his glove. Ruiz scored easily on Brown’s shot to the left-center field gap, making a winner out of Antonio Bastardo (3-1), who tossed a scoreless ninth.

Jonathan Papelbon worked around a one-out single for his sixth save for the Phillies, who won despite batting 2-for-14 with runners in scoring position. Philadelphia starter A.J. Burnett allowed two runs on six hits over 6 2/3 innings and collected a career-high three hits.

The Phillies took a 2-0 lead in the fifth when Burnett and Ben Revere opened with back-to-back singles and Marlon Byrd doubled in a run off Hyun-Jin Ryu, who yielded two runs on nine hits over six frames. Ryan Howard followed with a sacrifice fly to score Revere, who went 4-for-5 with a stolen base.

Los Angeles answered in the bottom half of the fifth when Tim Federowicz hit a leadoff double and scored on Crawford’s sacrifice fly. Dee Gordon helped the Dodgers pull even in the seventh when he doubled with one out, stole third base and scored on pinch-hitter Justin Turner’s single.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Gordon hit his head on Jayson Nix’s knee on his steal of third base in the seventh inning and later left the game as part of a double-switch. … Dodgers OF Andre Ethier sat out his second straight game with flu-like symptoms. … Dodgers 1B Adrian Gonzalez went 0-for-3, snapping his 16-game hitting streak.
