Astros 8, Rangers 3:
Jon Singleton went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and host Houston roughed up Yu Darvish for the second time in a month to make it seven consecutive wins over Texas.

Matt Dominguez and Chris Carter each had two hits and an RBI and Robbie Grossman scored three runs as the Astros posted their fifth straight victory at home. Scott Feldman (6-8) won his second straight start, giving up three runs on eight hits over 6 1/3 innings to move Houston 3 1/2 games ahead of the last-place Rangers in the AL West.

Darvish (10-7) failed to retire a batter in the fifth inning and was knocked around for six runs - five earned - on nine hits and four walks while striking out seven. Jim Adduci belted his first major-league homer, a two-run shot in the sixth, Shin-Soo Choo collected four hits and Elvis Andrus had two hits and an RBI for Texas, which has lost 36 of its last 46 games.

The Astros scored twice against Darvish in their first at-bat, capitalizing on a pair of walks before Singleton delivered a two-out RBI single and an error by second baseman Rougned Odor on Dominguez's infield single plated a second run. Houston chased Darvish in the fifth, loading the bases with no outs before Singleton lined a double down the right-field line to make it 4-0.

Dominguez followed with a run-scoring single to end Darvish's night in favor of Nate Adcock, who was greeted by Marwin González's RBI single to extend the lead to 6-0. Adduci finally got the Rangers on the scoreboard with a two-out blast in the sixth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Darvish, who had won each of his previous three starts at Minute Maid Park, has been shelled for 12 runs (11 earned) and 19 hits over 10 innings in two starts versus Houston since July 9. ... Astros All-Star second baseman Jose Altuve, who leads the majors in hits and tops the AL in stolen bases, was out of the starting lineup after exiting Friday's series opener due to discomfort in his neck. ... Rangers LF Mike Carp was replaced in the field by Daniel Robertson in the bottom of the third inning after striking out in the top of the frame due to tightness in his groin. He is listed as day-to-day.
