Josh Rutledge recorded three hits and three RBIs, Corey Dickerson homered and drove in a pair, and Drew Stubbs also went deep for the Rockies. Matzek (2-4) snapped a seven-start winless streak since prevailing in his first career outing as Colorado has outscored Pittsburgh 16-2 in the first two games of the series.

The Pirates' Jeff Locke (2-2) had his seven-start unbeaten streak snapped after allowing six runs and 10 hits in 6 2/3 innings. Ike Davis hit a pinch-hit homer and Neil Walker had his 22-game streak of reaching base safely - the longest active run in the majors - halted after going 0-for-4 as Pittsburgh lost its fifth straight at Coors Field.

The Rockies took a 1-0 lead in the third when Matzek led off with a single and Charlie Blackmon reached on a fielder's choice, moved to second on a throwing error, stole third and scored on Rutledge's single. Stubbs led off the fourth by culminating an eight-pitch at-bat with a homer to left - his 11th of the season - to make it 2-0.

Colorado doubled its advantage in the fifth as Matzek led off with a walk and scored on Arenado's single, and Dickerson delivered an RBI groundout. Arenado, who was taken out of Friday's game for not hustling on a groundout, and Dickerson delivered solo shots in the seventh with the latter a two-out blast which chased Locke.

Stubbs left for pinch-hitter Dickerson in the fifth after turning his left ankle. ... Locke has yielded eight home runs in 2014 - five to Colorado in his last two starts.
