Nationals 7, Rockies 4: Adam LaRoche broke a tie with a three-run homer in the seventh inning to pace visiting Washington to its fourth straight victory.

Wilson Ramos drove in two runs, Anthony Rendon had three hits and scored twice, and Ian Desmond added two hits after going 5-for-5 on Monday for the Nationals, who lost third baseman Ryan Zimmerman with a right hamstring strain. Craig Stammen (1-4) earned the victory with a scoreless inning of relief.

Nolan Arenado and Corey Dickerson homered, and DJ LeMahieu had three hits for Colorado, which lost its seventh straight and is 6-25 in its last 31 contests. Brooks Brown (0-1) took the loss - his first major-league decision - after allowing a hit and a walk to begin the seventh inning before Rex Brothers yielded LaRoche's 13th homer.

Josh Rutledge (two hits) started the Colorado third with a triple and Arenado belted a 1-2 pitch out to center with two down for his first homer in 15 games since returning from the disabled list. Dickerson crushed a 1-0 offering into the second deck in right with one out in the fifth for his 12th homer to give the Rockies a 4-2 lead.

Washington tied it in the sixth when Zimmerman was injured while running to first base on an RBI fielder's choice and Ramos delivered a two-out run-scoring infield hit. Denard Span walked and Rendon singled to begin the seventh and, after Brown struck out Jayson Werth, LaRoche launched a 2-0 pitch off Brothers into the Nationals bullpen.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Washington's Rafael Soriano worked around a lead-off double in the ninth inning to earn his 23rd save in 26 chances as the Nationals won for the fifth time in five tries against Colorado this season. ... Washington's Jordan Zimmermann, who entered 5-0 with a 1.64 ERA in seven starts against the Rockies, yielded four runs and eight hits in five innings while contributing a sacrifice fly and Colorado's Yohan Flande allowed four runs in 5 1/3 innings to remain winless in four major-league starts. ... Rockies All-Star shortstop Troy Tulowitzki, who leads the majors with a .340 average, was placed on the disabled list with a left hip flexor strain.
