Dodgers 6, Rockies 3: Adrian Gonzalez homered for the 1,500th hit of his career and drove in two runs, and Paul Maholm earned his second victory in 10 decisions against Colorado as host Los Angeles evened the three-game series.

Matt Kemp also went deep, Yasiel Puig knocked in a pair and Hanley Ramirez, who left the game with a bruised right thumb, drove in one. Maholm (1-2) yielded two runs and six hits in seven inning before Chris Withrow struck out Carlos Gonzalez and Troy Tulowitzki with the bases loaded to end the eighth and preserve a 5-2 lead.

Brandon Barnes and Justin Morneau drove in runs while Nolan Arenado extended his hitting streak to 16 games for the Rockies. Juan Nicasio (2-1) yielded five runs and eight hits in 4 1/3 innings while permitting two homers for the second straight start and losing his first career decision in April.

Colorado took a 1-0 lead in the third on Barnes' two-out RBI single before the Dodgers took control with three in the bottom half. Dee Gordon led off with a triple and after Puig was hit by a pitch, Ramirez injured himself on a run-scoring groundout before Adrian Gonzalez hit a sacrifice fly and Kemp belted a 1-1 pitch out to right.

After Puig and Morneau exchanged RBI singles, Adrian Gonzalez launched a 1-2 pitch the opposite way to left leading off the fifth and Andre Ethier's single two batters later chased Nicasio. Puig delivered an RBI ground-rule double in the eighth, but was thrown out at third to end the inning before Gordon could score on Juan Uribe's fly out.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Kenley Jansen relieved Brian Wilson, who walked the first two batters in the ninth, and allowed a run before earning his ninth save. ... Ramirez, who missed 24 games to start 2013 with a torn ligament in his right thumb, is day-to-day after X-rays were negative. ... Arenado has the longest active streak in the majors after St. Louis C Yadier Molina's run ended at 15 games Saturday.
