Rockies 12, Phillies 1: Troy Tulowitzki hit a three-run homer and had five RBIs while falling a triple shy of the cycle and Tyler Chatwood pitched seven strong innings as Colorado kicked off a six-game homestand in style with a rout of Philadelphia.

Justin Morneau drove in two while Drew Stubbs had three hits and scored three runs for the Rockies, who average 8.1 runs at home compared to 3.4 on the road this season. Chatwood (1-0) didn't allow a hit until the fifth inning and benefited from a 7-0 lead after two innings while allowing an unearned run and two hits and striking out six.

Jonathan Pettibone (0-1) yielded eight runs and nine hits in four innings - raising his ERA to 18.00 in two career starts in Colorado - as the Phillies fell to 30-10 against the Rockies since the start of 2008, and 12-6 at Coors Field. Jayson Nix recorded a pinch-hit RBI single for Philadelphia.

Colorado loaded the bases in the first with one out in front of Morneau, who crushed an opposite-field ground-rule double, and Wilin Rosario's run-scoring groundout and Nolan Arenado's RBI single up the middle followed. Tulowitzki belted an 0-1 pitch out to center in the second with Charlie Blackmon and Carlos Gonzalez aboard.

The Rockies took an 8-0 lead in the fourth when Tulowitzki laced a two-out double to left to drive in Stubbs and Tulowitzki's two-out single in the sixth knocked in Stubbs to make it 9-1. Blackmon added three hits, scored twice and contributed an RBI while Rosario added a two-run double in the eighth inning to the season-high 18-hit attack.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Rockies RF Michael Cuddyer, the reigning National League batting champion, did not play and remains day-to-day after suffering a hamstring injury Thursday, but it does not appear he will have to go on the disabled list. ... Tulowitzki walked in the first inning following a 14-pitch at-bat, the most pitches he has ever faced in a plate appearance. ... Pettibone has a career 4.42 ERA - 7.65 in the first inning.
