Rockies 3, Padres 1: Justin Morneau's RBI double ignited a three-run seventh inning and Franklin Morales pitched six solid frames as visiting Colorado gained a split of the four-game series.

Nolan Arenado had two hits and an RBI and Wilin Rosario also drove in a run as the Rockies salvaged the finale of their 3-4 road trip. Morales (1-1) allowed one run and four hits while striking out five, and two relievers bridged the gap to LaTroy Hawkins, who worked around a lead-off single in the ninth to earn his fourth save.

San Diego's Ian Kennedy (1-3) carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning before allowing three runs and four hits with seven strikeouts in seven frames while falling to 0-3 in three home turns this season. Xavier Nady homered and Everth Cabrera extended his hitting streak to nine games for the Padres.

Nady connected with a 3-2 fastball leading off the fourth and drove it off the facade of the second deck in left for his third homer of the season. Kennedy retired the first 12 batters in order, and Arenado broke up the no-hit bid when he led off the sixth with a double that caromed off the third-base bag before getting stranded at third.

Corey Dickerson started Colorado's rally with a one-out flare double down the left-field line and Troy Tulowitzki walked before Morneau's line drive fooled right fielder Chris Denorfia and sailed over his head. Rosario followed with a run-scoring groundout and Arenado delivered a two-out single to plate Morneau.
