Indians 4, Rangers 3 (12): David Murphy burned his former team by belting a tying two-run homer in the ninth and Michael Brantley went deep to lead off the 12th as host Cleveland completed a three-game sweep of Texas.

With the Rangers nursing a 3-1 lead in the ninth, Chris Dickerson pinch-hit for Nick Swisher (right wrist soreness) and worked a one-out walk against Neftali Feliz before Murphy deposited a first-pitch changeup over the right-center field wall. Brantley greeted Phil Klein (0-1) in the 12th by sending his 3-2 cutter over the wall in right for his 19th homer - and second walk-off blast of the season.

Murphy also had an RBI double in the second inning and Brantley finished with two hits for the Indians, who won six of seven meetings with the Rangers this season and remained 6 1/2 games behind first-place Detroit in the American League Central and pulled within three games of the second wild card. Brantley's blast made a winner out of Scott Atchison (5-0), who struck out his lone batter to end the top of the 12th.

Elvis Andrus doubled in the first inning to extend his hitting streak to 10 games and scored on Alex Rios' RBI single for the Rangers, who have dropped six straight on the road and 19 of their last 22 overall. Rougned Odor and Shin-Soo Choo added sacrifice flies in the second and Yu Darvish settled for a no-decision after permitting one run on four hits and striking out eight in seven innings.

Rios deposited a 1-1 fastball from starter Trevor Bauer into center field to plate Andrus and open the scoring in the first inning. Texas quickly loaded the bases in the second and Odor and Choo lifted consecutive sacrifice flies to extend the advantage.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Swisher was diagnosed with a mild wrist strain and will be re-evaluated Monday. ... Andrus, who went 2-for-6, is 15-for-39 with six RBIs and six runs scored during his hitting streak. ... Bauer was in line to suffer his third straight loss after permitting three runs on six hits in 7 1/3 innings before Murphy's two-run homer in the ninth. ... Texas continues its nine-game road trip by opening a three-game set against the Chicago White Sox on Monday. Cleveland wraps up its eight-game homestand by hosting the first two of four consecutive meetings against Buckeye State-rival Cincinnati.
