Brewers 5, Cubs 3: Khris Davis homered and Marco Estrada pitched effectively into the eighth as host Milwaukee beat Chicago for the second straight night.

Davis had two hits and scored twice and Jeff Bianchi added two hits and two RBIs for the Brewers, who have won seven of their last eight. Estrada (2-1) struck out nine and allowed three runs on four hits over 7 2/3 innings to improve to 5-0 all-time against the Cubs, and Francisco Rodriguez worked a perfect ninth for his 11th save - breaking Francisco Cordero's franchise record for the most before the end of April.

Luis Valbuena and Welington Castillo homered for the Cubs, who have dropped four straight following their first back-to-back wins of the season. Left-hander Travis Wood (1-3) suffered a rare rough outing, allowing five runs on seven hits over 5 2/3 innings.

Estrada didn't allow a hit until Valbuena's shot to right with one out in the fourth, and he retired 10 straight before giving up a two-out single to Starlin Castro in the seventh. The Cubs got to him in the eighth, when Mike Olt led off with a single and Castillo followed two batters later with an opposite-field blast to right to cut it to 5-3.

The Brewers took the lead when Carlos Gomez scored on Aramis Ramirez's sacrifice fly in the first, and tacked on two more on Bianchi's two-run single in the second. Milwaukee answered Valbuena's blast with Gomez's RBI grounder in the fourth, and Davis' shot to left made it 5-1 in the sixth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Brewers SS Jean Segura left the game and needed medical attention after he was hit in the face by a Ryan Braun practice swing in the dugout before the bottom of the first inning. … The Brewers improved to 14-0 when they outhit their opponent and 17-0 when they score three or more runs. … The Cubs have struck out 23 times in the first two games of the series.
