Rangers 16, White Sox 0:
J.P. Arencibia homered among three hits and drove in four runs as visiting Texas used a long-ball barrage to halt a four-game losing streak.

Colby Lewis (8-8), backed by a season-high five homers, struck out seven and scattered six hits to earn his second career shutout and first since blanking the White Sox on May 16, 2011. Robinson Chirinos (three hits) went deep twice, Adrian Beltre launched a two-run blast and Shin-Soo Choo added a solo shot as the Rangers halted their seven-game slide on the road.

Daniel Robertson notched three hits and three RBIs as Texas pounded John Danks (9-7) for nine runs on eight hits - including four homers - and five walks in 4 2/3 innings to end the left-hander's seven-start unbeaten streak. Conor Gillaspie collected a pair of hits for Chicago, which remained five games out of the American League's second wild-card spot.

Texas, which scored only eight runs during its four-game skid, grabbed a 3-0 lead seven pitches into the contest on an RBI single by Alex Rios and Beltre's two-run homer. The Rangers continued the assault in the second as Chirinos led off with a long blast to straightaway center before Danks walked the bases loaded for Arencibia, who cleared them with a double for a 7-0 cushion.

Arencibia clubbed a solo homer to lead off the fifth and Chirinos went deep with two outs in the frame to end Danks' miserable night. Choo capped the home-run parade against Maikel Cleto in the sixth to make it 10-0, and things got so out of hand that White Sox designated hitter Adam Dunn made his first career pitching appearance in the ninth, giving up one run on two hits and a walk.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Rangers SS Elvis Andrus extended his hitting streak to 12 games with a seventh-inning RBI double. ... Danks has been battered for 24 runs on 33 hits - nine homers - over his last four starts but is 1-1 in that span. ... White Sox CF Adam Eaton was hitless in four at-bats to put an end to both his 11-game hitting streak and 21-game string of reaching base safely.
