Rays 4, White Sox 0: Ryan Hanigan belted two doubles and knocked in a pair of runs as visiting Tampa Bay blanked Chicago to snap a three-game losing streak.

Starter Cesar Ramos (1-1) allowed five hits and two walks in five-plus innings, Brandon Gomes pitched three hitless frames and Juan Carlos Oviedo worked the ninth for the Rays’ third shutout. James Loney added three hits and an RBI while Desmond Jennings had a run-scoring triple for Tampa Bay.

Gordon Beckham and Paul Konerko each recorded a pair of hits for the White Sox, who left six on base in the first five innings. Chicago starter John Danks (2-1) threw 123 pitches over 5 2/3 frames, yielding four runs on seven hits and four walks while striking out four.

Loney singled and Logan Forsythe walked with one out in the second inning before both scored on Hanigan’s two-out double into the left-field corner for a 2-0 lead. The Rays added to their advantage in the third when Wil Myers hit a ground-rule double to right field and came home on Loney’s two-out single.

The White Sox loaded the bases in the fifth inning with two out before Ramos got slugger Jose Abreu on a grounder to third to end the threat. Ben Zobrist walked with two outs and Jennings drilled a Danks pitch off the center field wall to push the lead to 4-0 in the sixth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Loney is 16-for-34 during an eight-game hitting streak with 10 RBIs. … The White Sox placed INF Conor Gillaspie (left hand contusion) on the 15-day disabled list and RHP Hector Noesi was activated to take his place, throwing 1 1/3 scoreless innings Saturday. Noesi was claimed off waivers from Texas on Friday. … Tampa Bay manager Joe Maddon was ejected by home plate umpire Tim Timmons in the eighth inning for arguing a check swing.
