Twins 10, White Sox 9: Oswaldo Arcia drove in the go-ahead run with an RBI triple in the ninth and Chris Colabello plated a career-high six runs as visiting Minnesota pulled out a wild victory over Chicago.

Trevor Plouffe singled in the tying run in the ninth off Matt Lindstrom (0-1) and scored on Arcia’s triple for the Twins, who avoided a three-game sweep. Caleb Thielbar (1-0) earned the win in relief and Glen Perkins, who blew a chance Wednesday, stranded the tying run on third in the ninth for his first save.

Marcus Semien’s first hit of the season was a go-ahead solo home run in the eighth and rookie Jose Abreu continued his hot start with two hits and four RBIs for the White Sox. Adam Dunn and Alejandro De Aza each homered for Chicago.

The Twins pushed two runs across in the seventh to cut the deficit to 8-7 but were robbed of a chance at more when Adam Eaton crashed into the center-field wall while hauling in the third out of the frame. Josmil Pinto ensured no outfielder would be able to catch his drive in the eighth, lining a solo shot over the left-field wall to knot it 8-8.

De Aza gave Chicago a quick lead with his homer in the second but Colabello blooped a three-run double in the next frame that got past Avisail Garcia’s dive to put Minnesota on top before delivering a two-run double to right in the fifth to make it a four-run lead. Abreu provided an RBI double and scored on Dunn’s homer in the fifth, and the White Sox took their first lead on the Cuban rookie’s three-run triple to center in the sixth.
