Nationals 4, Braves 1 (11): Wilson Ramos singled home the go-ahead run to spark a three-run 11th inning as visiting Washington won a game delayed by rain for nearly four hours, extending its National League East lead over Atlanta to 4½ games.

Ramos hit Anthony Varvaro’s first pitch into short center field to plate Anthony Rendon and snap a 1-all tie, and Kevin Frandsen followed with a two-run double to right as the Nationals evened the three-game set at one game apiece. Tyler Clippard (7-2) pitched a scoreless 10th for the victory, Rafael Soriano got his 26th save and Adam LaRoche finished 3-for-5 with a homer.

David Carpenter (4-2) allowed back-to-back singles to Rendon and LaRoche to start the 11th. Freddie Freeman and Emilio Bonifacio collected three hits for the Braves, who finished 0-for-6 with runners in scoring position and left 11 men on base in a game that ended at 2:29 a.m. ET.

LaRoche snapped a scoreless tie with his 16th homer of the season leading off the sixth, but the Braves answered on Jason Heyward’s sacrifice fly which plated Tommy La Stella in the bottom of the frame. Washington starter Tanner Roark, who allowed one run on six hits with six strikeouts in seven innings, retired the next two batters as Atlanta left runners at first and second.

Atlanta starter Aaron Harang held Washington to one run on seven hits in seven innings. The Braves had runners on first and second with two outs in the ninth, but Drew Storen got B.J. Upton to ground out to send the game to extra innings.
