Dodgers 3, Braves 2 (10): Matt Kemp belted his third homer in two games and added an RBI single in the 10th inning as host Los Angeles won its season-high fifth in a row.

Justin Turner singled off David Hale (3-3) to lead off the 10th inning and advanced to second on a wild pitch. Kemp, who was assured by Dodgers general manager Ned Colletti that he wouldn't be swapped prior to the trade deadline on Thursday, ripped a 3-2 changeup past diving third baseman Chris Johnson and into left field to send Turner home.

Kemp also scored on Juan Uribe's RBI single in the eighth and starter Zack Greinke struck out a season-high 13 batters in eight innings for Los Angeles. J.P. Howell (3-3) picked off Jordan Schafer at second base to work out of a jam in the 10th and pick up the win.

Justin Upton forged a 2-2 tie by launching a towering homer to left off closer Kenley Jansen to lead off the ninth inning for the Braves, who fell 1 1/2 games behind first-place Washington in the National League East. Upton finished with three hits, Andrelton Simmons had an RBI single and starter Alex Wood settled for a no-decision despite permitting one run on six hits with eight strikeouts in seven innings.

Jordan Walden replaced Wood and struck out the first two batters he faced in the eighth before Kemp extended the inning with a walk. Carl Crawford had a pinch-hit single and Uribe sent a chopper up the middle that was smothered by a diving Simmons, but the speedy Kemp came around to score to give the Dodgers a 2-1 lead.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Jansen's 13-game scoreless streak came to a halt with Upton's 19th homer. ... Los Angeles CF Yasiel Puig had a single in the ninth inning to record a hit in all 10 of his career contests versus Atlanta. ... Kemp finished 3-for-4 to improve to 12-for-19 in the last five games.
