Dodgers 8, Braves 4: Matt Kemp slugged a pair of two-run homers and Yasiel Puig went 4-for-5 and scored the go-ahead run in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift host Los Angeles to its first four-game winning streak of the season.

Adrian Gonzalez had three hits and two RBIs and Carl Crawford also drove in a pair of runs for the first-place Dodgers, who failed on their previous seven tries to win a fourth straight game. Brandon League (2-2) threw a scoreless seventh for the win and Kenley Jansen got the last four outs for his 31st save to complete 4 2/3 scoreless innings for the Los Angeles bullpen.

Freddie Freeman sparked Atlanta with a two-run shot while Andrelton Simmons knocked in a run with a double. Aaron Harang gave up four runs and nine hits in six innings before Anthony Varvaro (3-3) was knocked around in the decisive seventh as the Braves saw their three-game winning streak come to an end.

Puig singled, doubled and tripled in his first three at-bats before beginning the seventh with an infield hit and racing to third on Gonzalez's single to right. Crawford grounded to second to push Puig home to make it 5-4 and Kemp followed with a blast to straightaway center for his second two-homer game of the season.

Kemp went the other way to give Los Angeles a 2-1 lead in the second but Freeman put Atlanta back on top in the third with a shot against Josh Beckett, who was roughed up for four runs and nine hits in 4 1/3 innings. Puig's triple sparked a two-run rally in the bottom of the fifth to forge a 4-4 tie, with Gonzalez getting one RBI double in that frame and another for an insurance run in the eighth as the Dodgers collected a season-high nine extra-base hits.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Puig's bid for the cycle ended with a strikeout in the eighth. ... Atlanta placed RHP Shae Simmons (shoulder) on the 15-day disabled list and recalled RHP Juan Jaime from Triple-A Gwinnett. ... The Dodgers made an announcement on the video board in the middle of the second inning that Hall of Fame announcer Vin Scully would return in 2015 for his 66th year behind the microphone.
