Blue Jays 6, Red Sox 1: Dioner Navarro recorded three hits and three RBIs in support of 6 2/3 solid innings from Mark Buehrle as visiting Toronto completed a three-game sweep of slumping Boston.

Juan Francisco drove in a pair of runs and Anthony Gose scored twice for the Blue Jays, who have won 10 of 12. Buehrle (11-7) allowed one run and six hits to snap a nine-start winless streak as Toronto remained 2 1/2 games behind first-place Baltimore in the American League East.

Brandon Workman (1-4), who started in place of Jon Lester as trade rumors continued to swirl, was reached for five runs - two earned - on four hits and four walks in five frames. Christian Vazquez drove in the lone run and Xander Bogaerts doubled twice as the last-place Red Sox fell for the seventh time in eight games.

Workman walked the first two batters of the contest, and both ended up scoring on Navarro’s single and Francisco’s fielder’s choice to give the Blue Jays a quick 2-0 lead. Workman cost himself in the fifth, when he again walked Gose to start the inning before the speedster stole second and scored when Workman fielded a sacrifice attempt and bounced the throw to first for an error.

After Bogaerts committed a throwing error on the next play, Navarro and Francisco completed the three-run rally with back-to-back RBI singles. Boston finally got on the board on Vazquez’s ground-rule double in the fifth, but Navarro got back that run an inning later with a single as Toronto put it away.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
The Red Sox traded LHP Felix Doubront to the Chicago Cubs for a player to be named. … Boston LHP Andrew Miller, who also is on the trading block, struck out the side in order in the seventh. … Blue Jays LF Melky Cabrera went 2-for-4 and finished the three-game series 5-for-13 with five runs scored and six RBIs.
