Orioles 6, Blue Jays 1: Steve Pearce belted a pair of homers and drove in four runs as host Baltimore completed a three-game sweep of fading Toronto.

Bud Norris (14-8) overcame five walks to pitch 5 1/3 scoreless innings of two-hit ball for the Orioles, who extended their winning streak to four games one night after clinching the American League East title. David Lough smacked a solo homer and Nelson Cruz added a pair of hits to lift Baltimore to its 10th win in 11 games.

J.A. Happ (9-11) was charged with five runs in six-plus innings as the Blue Jays dropped their fourth straight to fall six games behind Kansas City for the second wild card with 11 to play. Kevin Pillar doubled and scored for Toronto, which managed only five runs in the series.

Pearce broke the scoreless deadlock with two outs in the third, lofting an 0-1 breaking ball down the left-field line for his 19th homer. Happ ran into two-out trouble again in the fifth, giving up back-to-back singles to Jonathan Schoop and Jimmy Paredes before Pearce hammered a shot well back into the seats for a 4-0 edge.

The Blue Jays mounted a threat in the sixth, putting two runners aboard with one out to chase Norris in favor of Brian Matusz, who issue a walk to load the bases before escaping with a 10-pitch strikeout of pinch hitter Steve Tolleson. Toronto finally pushed across a run in the seventh on back-to-back doubles by Pillar and Ryan Goins and a run-scoring groundout from Jose Reyes.
