Red Sox 4, Orioles 3: David Ortiz and Xander Bogaerts had three hits apiece as Boston took the rubber match of a three-game set from host Baltimore.

Felix Doubront (1-0) allowed three runs on six hits and a walk in 5 1/3 innings and Koji Uehara worked a perfect ninth for his second save for the Red Sox. Rookie Jackie Bradley Jr. got his first start and went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI while David Ross added a run-scoring single for Boston.

Matt Wieters and Delmon Young each drove in a run for the Orioles, who managed seven runs in the series. Wei-Yin Chen (0-1) struggled through 5 2/3 innings, surrendering four runs and 12 hits while striking out five for Baltimore.

Bogaerts came across with the first run on a double-play grounder in the second and Bradley made it a 2-0 gap in the second when he raced all the way around from first on a bloop single to left by Ortiz that Nelson Cruz misplayed. Ross’ RBI single in the fourth pushed the lead to three runs before the Orioles got to Doubront in the fourth on Wieters’ RBI double and Young’s run-scoring single.

Bradley’s single to center in the sixth chased home Will Middlebrooks and restored Boston's two-run advantage. Chris Davis came across on Brandon Workman’s wild pitch in the sixth to cut the deficit to one run again, but Chris Capuano and Junichi Tazawa each tossed a scoreless frame before handing it off to Uehara.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Red Sox will host the Milwaukee Brewers in the home opener on Friday and will receive their World Series rings in a ceremony prior to the game. … Cruz, who homered in each of the first two games, went 0-for-4 with a strikeout. … The Orioles head out on the road for a stretch of five straight day games in Detroit and New York beginning Friday.
