Luis Robert homered twice, Brian Goodwin, Eloy Jimenez and Yasmani Grandal added one home run apiece, and the Chicago White Sox cruised to a 13-1 win over the visiting Chicago Cubs on Sunday afternoon.
Jose Abreu added a two-run double for the White Sox, who won two of three games in the series. Abreu surpassed 100 RBIs for the sixth time in eight seasons.
Frank Schwindel hit a solo home run for the Cubs, who fell to 1-5 against their crosstown rivals in 2021.
White Sox right-hander Dylan Cease (11-6) struck out 11 over six strong innings. He gave up one run on four hits and walked two.
Cubs right-hander Kyle Hendricks (14-6) was battered for eight runs on seven hits in 4 2/3 innings. He walked two and struck out four.
The White Sox opened the scoring in the bottom of the first. Robert hit a 406-foot shot to left field.
The White Sox increased their lead to 3-0 one inning later on another home run, this time a two-run shot by Goodwin. It was his eighth homer of the season and the 50th of his career.
The Cubs got on the scoreboard in the fourth thanks to a solo home run by Schwindel. He pulled a 2-2 pitch to left field for his sixth homer of the season and his fifth with Chicago.
The White Sox broke open the game with seven runs in the fifth. Abreu hit a two-run, ground-rule double to make it 5-1. Jimenez followed with a three-run blast to the opposite field to make it 8-1, and Grandal capped the big inning with a two-run homer to right.
It was the eighth homer in 29 games this season for Jimenez, a former Cubs prospect who joined the White Sox along with Cease and two other prospects in exchange for left-hander Jose Quintana in 2017. For Grandal, it was his 17th homer.
Robert delivered again with a two-run homer in the sixth to make it 12-1. It was Robert's second homer of the day and his sixth of the season.
Goodwin capped the scoring with an RBI groundout in the seventh.
Cubs shortstop Sergio Alcantara left the game because of a bruised right ankle, which he sustained when he fouled a pitch off his lower leg in the top of the fifth. Alcantara finished the at-bat but teammate Andrew Romine replaced him in the field in the bottom of the fifth.
