Jean Segura added two hits and scored two runs, and Bryce Harper and Rafael Marchan contributed two hits apiece for the Phillies, who won the final three games of the series.
Phillies starter Ranger Suarez (6-4) allowed one run and five hits over 5 1/3 innings to earn his first win as a starter since his major league debut on July 26, 2018. The left-hander struck out five and walked two.
Nick Ahmed had two hits and three RBIs and Jake McCarthy collected his first two major league hits for the Diamondbacks.
Arizona left-hander Madison Bumgarner (7-9) allowed five runs and seven hits in five innings. The four-time All Star struck out three and walked four.
Bumgarner got off to a difficult start, needing 31 pitches to get through the first inning
Segura singled on an 0-2 pitch to start the first, and J.T. Realmuto then worked a walk after falling behind 0-2.
Harper, who came in 4-for-22 in his career against Bumgarner, laid down a rare sacrifice bunt before Andrew McCutchen delivered an RBI single on a full-count pitch for a 1-0 lead.
Galvis added a sacrifice fly to give the Phillies a 2-0 lead after the first inning for the second straight game.
McCarthy looped a two-out double down the right-field line in the second inning for his first major league hit and first RBI, cutting the lead to 2-1.
Jorge Bonifacio drove in a run with a ground out in the fifth, and Galvis followed with a soft line-drive single to center to drive in two more and make it 5-1.
Pavin Smith and Ahmed had back-to-back one-out doubles for Arizona in the seventh to trim the lead to 5-2.
Archie Bradley got the first two outs in the eighth for the Phillies, but Arizona loaded the bases and Ahmed came through with a two-run single to make it 5-4.
