Luis Robert had three hits, including a solo home run, Seby Zavala had two hits and two RBIs and starter Dallas Keuchel and three relievers combined on a six-hitter to lift the host Chicago White Sox to a 5-2 victory against the Oakland Athletics on Monday night.
Tim Anderson also had two hits for the White Sox, who snapped a two-game losing streak. Robert's eighth-inning blast capped the scoring and was the team's only extra-base hit among its 10 hits in the game.
Keuchel regrouped after surrendering a solo home run off the bat of Matt Chapman with one out in the second and a run-scoring single from Mark Canha four batters later.
The left-hander induced Starling Marte on a groundout back to the mound and struck out Matt Olson as the A's stranded the bases loaded in the second. Keuchel (8-6) limited Oakland to a pair of singles the rest of the way while scattering two runs and five hits in five innings with two walks and two strikeouts.
Chicago rallied from the early deficit with single runs in the third through sixth innings. Zavala tied the game with an RBI single in the fourth and provided a valuable insurance run with a successful safety squeeze bunt in the sixth.
Eloy Jimenez delivered the go-ahead run in the fifth, lining an RBI single that glanced off Chapman's glove at third base.
Jed Lowrie and Canha had two hits for the A's.
Oakland righty Frankie Montas was unsuccessful in his bid to set a career high in victories. Montas (9-9) spaced three runs and eight hits in five innings with three walks and six strikeouts.
The Chicago bullpen contributed four innings of one-hit, nine-strikeout relief with one walk. After Michael Kopech pitched two scoreless frames, Craig Kimbrel escaped a second-and-third, one-out jam by striking out the last two hitters of the eighth.
Liam Hendriks struck out all three batters he faced in the ninth to earn the save against his former team. Hendriks notched his 27th save in 33 opportunities this season and first since July 30.
