Corey Seager homered, doubled and singled, AJ Pollock added a single and two RBIs and the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the host Philadelphia Phillies 5-0 on Tuesday.
Max Muncy also homered for the Dodgers.
Trea Turner and Will Smith contributed two hits apiece for the Dodgers, who won their third in a row. Los Angeles had 12 hits.
Dodgers starter Max Scherzer allowed three hits and no runs in 3 1/3 innings, with six strikeouts and no walks. After a lengthy rain delay, Scherzer was replaced by Alex Vesia (2-1) when the game resumed in the bottom of the fourth.
Jean Segura led the Phillies with three hits. The Phillies, who had their eight-game winning streak snapped, managed only six hits overall.
Phillies starter Aaron Nola gave up one hit and no runs in four innings before the rain started. Nola struck out seven and walked none.
JD Hammer (1-1) took the loss.
Neither team was able to muster much offense through the first three innings. The Phillies managed two hits and the Dodgers had one.
A bizarre and unexpected rain delay caused a 1-hour, 44-minute stoppage and the game resumed at 10 p.m.
The Dodgers went ahead 1-0 in the fifth when Seager ripped a solo homer to left off Hammer.
In the sixth, Will Smith hit an RBI single and Pollock added a two-run single for a 4-0 advantage.
The Phillies had runners on first and second with no outs in the sixth, but they weren't able to score.
Smith came up in the seventh with runners on first and second and two outs and singled to load the bases. Seager popped up to Didi Gregorius in shallow center to end the threat.
Ronald Torreyes walked with one out in the seventh for the Phillies, but Travis Jankowski struck out swinging and pinch hitter Luke Williams also struck out swinging.
Muncy ripped a solo home run in the ninth for a 5-0 Los Angeles lead.
