Jacob Stallings' fielder's choice RBI in the ninth inning Saturday gave the Pittsburgh Pirates a 3-2 win over the visiting Philadelphia Phillies.
Against reliever Jose Alvarado (6-1) with a 2-2 tie, Bryan Reynolds led off the bottom of the ninth with a double to center. Gregory Polanco moved him to third on a groundout. John Nogowski walked. Stallings grounded to third, and Reynolds beat Alec Bohm's throw home.
Kevin Newman hit an RBI triple and Ben Gamel an RBI single for the Pirates, who have won two in a row.
Pittsburgh starter JT Brubaker pitched six innings, allowing one run and three hits, with two walks and four strikeouts.
Chris Stratton (4-0) pitched a scoreless ninth.
Bryce Harper hit an RBI single for the Phillies, who have lost four of five.
Philadelphia starter Aaron Nola went six innings, giving up two runs and three hits, with one walk and five strikeouts. He also brought in a run with a sacrifice fly.
In the third, Rodolfo Castro led off with a single to center and scored on Newman's triple to center for a 1-0 Pittsburgh lead. After Brubaker grounded out, Gamel singled to center off the glove of Travis Jankowski to drive in Newman and make it 2-0.
Philadelphia did not have a runner against Brubaker until there were two outs in the fourth, when Harper reached on Castro's bobble of a grounder at second for an error.
The Phillies' first hit came in the fifth, when Brad Miller led off with a single to center. Bohm sent Miller to second with a base hit to left. After Didi Gregorius struck out, Jankowski singled up the middle to load the bases. Miller scored on Nola's flyout to right to cut it to 2-1.
Jean Segura walked to load the bases again, but Brubaker got J.T. Realmuto to ground out.
Against reliever David Bednar in the eighth, Realmuto led off with a double to right. He scored on Harper's single to center to tie it at 2.
